Football League loan deals are allowed once a week has passed following the closing of the window until the fourth Thursday in November,so today,24th November at I believe 5pm the window will close for business. With five of our slimfast like squad already going out on loan it would be sensible to feel that Malky will be dipping into the market some time today, particularly judging by his comments to WOL. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/footba...rengthen-to-achieve-promotion-91466-29816432/ Anyone heard any rumours or speculation about possible signings or do you feel we will gamble on a paper thin squad until January?
Despite the likes of Parky and Keinan going out, heard nor read anything that suggests anyone coming the other way. Maybe the lack of info coming out of club "sources" was always the plan after the setbacks of publicly leaked info in the past. If nothing happens immediately, then keeping the present "first 16" fit will be a priority with 21 Championship points up for grabs before the Jan window opens. IF, and I mean if we are able to field from those 16 we've seen named these past few games, we'll be OK.
Spark! Based upon previous seasons I think we have been very fortunate that we have avoided the usual spate of long term injuries and suspensions so far. It is Thanksgiving day so maybe Eddie will return today.
Hiya fellas. Perhaps this is a good chance to ask you guys to straighten out my head regarding loan rules. Are emergency loans ok outside of the windows? If so, is it possible that we'll try and make do until January? Is it likely that Malky has been able to set up some "if needed" arrangements with other clubs? Gawd.....remember when you signed for a club and stayed there until sold or retired?
Today is the last day of the emergency loan window. Transfer window then opens in January. We need some pace out wide. If Malky cant get the player he wants then we will have to wait until January. Or part 2 of the rebuild in the summer when more players can be shipped out. The whole regime is much better than last year. No leaks from inside the club.
Nice one Rhondda. I'm gonna dig out my flat cap and rattle, and dream of Greg Farrell and Ronnie Bird. (Some may see that as a nightmare!)
What was that old song from that time ? Bless them all Bless them all The long & the short & the tall Bless John Toshack And bless Peter King Bless Ronnie Bird as he runs down the wing Not sure if I got that right. Memories.
Agh! Caught by the territorials so to speak. How are you HT? Still living a life of sobriety I trust.
Han .................SOBER?????? since when? F ale anyhow you baled on Tuesday and it was noted by scull and myself
Han.......SOBER.since when???????????? Anyhow, you baled on Tuesday and it was noted by scull and myself Roy, he's going great again this year thanks, injury and pain free so far LOL
A bit more squad recycling to go. Hopefully Dekel and Parkin will impress at their new clubs and find a permanent deal. If we can stay top 8 by Jan we may see a few more permanent signings. If we can get Rudy fit (and repetative injuries worry me) we probably need one more striker. We've enough options in the middle of the park and then 2 MORE WIDE MEN (NO!!! I WON'T STOP SAYING IT!!!!) will give us a more balanced squad. After that it's a case of one in, one out. But only if the one in is better than the one we already have. Pleased with what we've got so far. Not unduely worried about the lack of loan signings other than the lack of cover out wide. Naylor was a reasonably good attacking full back, just can't defend. Wonder what he would be like as a winger?
