I would take it over a bloke who said the Four Tops had appeared with Jimi Hendrix in Hull and said he wasn’t wrong because he had read it some where. Or who informed us junior’s favourite away game was at West Brom where the teams came out to a half empty stadium as we were winning 2-0 when it was 0-0.

No doubt you think Lennon and McCartney jointly wrote every Beatles song the record label said the did. Or that Norman Petty wrote a part of every Buddy Holly song his name appeared on.

You had better get on the site and telll them what they wrote about the writers of Caravan Of Love are wrong.
Ed Bicknell booked Jimi Hendrix for a university do at the Skyline - great value at 7/6d if I recall. No 4 Tops on the bill though.

I know they weren’t. Knew some of the Mandakes including Allen, later Robert Palmer who were a support act. Spoke to lead guitarist and rhythm guitarist, who Hendrix gave a signed guitar to, a couple of days after the gig at Scarborough Tech.

“Don’t lean on me man ‘cos I can’t afford a ticket
To go to super Hull City”

Some will love it.
Hmm

Liam is the man
And you can't afford to miss it
Come to Super Hull City...?

I'll have a think about the verse later, but pretty sure we'll keep the line about having your spine put out of place by a mellow thighed chick.

Works for many, any with a single, or double, syllable name.

Greaves is the man
& you can’t afford to miss him
play for super Hull City

Sorted it
That line fits perfectly.

Ci-ty, Allsop in goal, you know
Ci-ty, Tufan with license to roam, and it’s
Ci-ty, Jaden’ll do you for pace
This mellow thighed chick just put my spine out of place

Greaves is the man
& you can’t afford to miss him
play for super Hull City
Quick
Someone grab a quill and scribe it onto XTikSnapBook so the young ‘uns can rehearse before Saturday
