Spot on, the kid is getting better with every game. Said it last week but his maturity in his decision making is phenomenal! Some of the passes he is picking out - the one at the weekend from center mid, curling down into the left wing into acres of space almost took Gordon/Barnes by surprise it was that good. His positioning is great out of possession and he's making smart runs/holding his position when he needs to. Only 17 until the end of the season and he's made 20 appearances so far and got a goal and assist in the league and another assist in the CL.

If he keeps his feet on the ground and takes in the experience he's getting now from the senior pros he'll develop into a seriously good player, can't see to many CM's around at his age that are popping up with the same quality bar maybe Mainoo at Man U currently but Mileys got a year on him.

Yes he played well but he’s not the problem. Think it’s down to playing such a slow central midfield. We would have been better if we had had Hall or Tino at left back to inject more pace. Also issues with whatever Howe has done to Almirons position. It’s like we have no right side any more.

He’s a very good player and an amazing talent for his age but, IMO, you can tell he’s 17yo.

I say this not as a criticism of him but simply an observation of his play. After all he’s only 17 yo and he’s already played half a season at PL and CL level He could be more physical in his game and more imposing. I’m sure that that will come in time. Think of the contrast in that part of his game with say Joelinton. I readily accept that that is nit picking but it’s where we miss BJ and other teams, for me, are aware of that.
