There were quite a few aggressive chants, like, “Your going home in a ****ing ambulance” they never did, or “you’re gonna get your heads kicked in” never happened. And a Gary Glitter spin off, “Hello, hello, it’s good to be back”, at the start of the season, which was quite good to be fair. “In the (insert the club you’re playing) slums, the look in the dustbin etc,” was used by everyone.

Oh and the one that nearly got me and less than a hundred of us nearly killed on Boxing Day 1973 at Sheffield Wednesday sung the game before, “If your all going to Wednesday clap your hands” cue thousands on South Stand clapping, lying bastards.

It's time for you to run etc.

Waggys better than Eusebio
McKechnies better than Yashin
I think that one had the non football verse "Aye Aye Aye Aye, somebody nicked my sombrero some silly twat has pissed in my hat and now I have nothing to wear-oh"
Footy chorus was " Aye Aye Aye Aye, McKechnie is better than Yashin, Waggy is better than Eusebio and Cardiff (insert name of opposition) are in for a thrashin'"

You’re just too good to be true,
We don’t know how to thank you.
Oh Acun in you we all trust,
We want to thank you so much.

You came from your Istanbul,
To save us all here in our Hull.
One team, one family, one dream,
The best thing that we’ve ever seen.

Da da da da da da, da da
etc

Bit harsh Den thought it was Ed Shearanesque.
I’m probably not the right audience.

I even cringe when people plead with him to wave at them!

I mean he seems alright, and we’re certainly lucky to have him at the moment, but I just can’t bring myself to appear sycophantic (in my mind) by singing for any owner of a club.
I still remember with horror the early Allam loving Fez wearers. (Not saying he will end up like them…he won’t)

Nah, not for me.

We need to sing more songs for individual players, but I’m not interested in singing for owners.

I’ll clap him enthusiastically when he’s on the pitch after we win a play off final or auto promotion. Can’t say fairer than that

No problem with that mate. I will attempt something more Warboys and Bannister than Robson and Jerome.
