Mandaric is in court over payments made to Redknapp via Redknapp's bank account in Monaco to avoid paying tax in Britain. That's it. That's a personal matter between him and Redknapp and does not change the fact that Mandaric got Portsmouth back on its feet after the club almost went out of business and got it to the Premier League while being in control of the finances. The later problems occured when Redknapp returned from Southampton and Gaydamak entered the picture then we went chasing the dream without investing in the facilities.

Yep, that's how I see/saw it. Hence why I suggested Mandaric might be a good friend next..!

Chill out mush, it's just a bit of banter, there is no way that PFC will fold, they are like the turd that won't flush!
As for being the original Saints Alive, I have used the name since October 2009 on the old 606 and on here, I registered before you and have posted more than you have. If you don't like it you can always change your name, but i'm keeping mine.

Good morning Saints Alive - I humbly bow to the facts you have stated, although I am sure you will understand the confusion - especially mine!
We at least share an overwhelming passion for Southampton Football Club!

All Saints fans should get on their knees and be grateful that NC spotted us. We were bought by ML, a decent and honourable man, because we had assets and prospects. The trouble with being owned by dubious people is that they don't really care who you are sold onto. Whilst I don't want Pompey to be bought by a billionaire who throws money at them, I certainly want them to stay in business. It's ying and yang...who would be our rivals then. I also know what they feel like when things like this happen.

Spot On !! Markus L had the money & a passion to get into football & thank god (or whoever) it was SFC. In his short tenure, he came to love us & together with Nicola C we got an owner & a financial management team that is taking us places. The key tho is SFC, was an attractive financial proposition (& begrudgingly I'll have to give R Lowe some praise there) as we had a fantastic ground, perfectly set infrastructure, superb fan base with greater potential & yes, at a knock down price! whereas PFC never have been. Old tiny ground, no infrastructure. Fan base maybe but without the ground, virtually useless. Dodgy money will always be the only outcome at PFC. Who else would invest the amount of money required for such little rewards ? It' inevitable Mr Anderson (as Mr Smith would say). Sorry guys, me thinks you’re pretty well screwed. Have been, are being & will be again. Feel sorry for all genuine PFC fans, footballers, staff & funnily enough, your new boss (?) he must be thinkng .......... ?

But as has already been reported the financial vehicles that are devised and put in place can mean that it is extremely complicated and difficult to find out who actually owns a club and who has a stake in it. Even the Football League admitted they do not have the resources to follow up each avenue of a muddied trail.

Then the answer is straightforward. Unless, the vehicle utilised offers a suitable level of transparency, then you don't get to buy the club!

Again, because a number of Saints fans are getting ahead of themselves, I will point out, in bold and underlined this time, there is no suggestion that whatever happens with Antonov will lead to the closure of Portsmouth Football Club. Antonov isn't the only investor. He's doesn't own the club on his own.

And he's not been proven guilty or innocent yet so I object to this jumping the gun. Being arrested is not, in and of itself, proof of guilt.

I refer you to a decent thread posted by one of your fishy friends that's worth looking at.........http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/103181-What-the-issue-of-an-EAW-means

However that thread does not hold any suggestion of Portsmouth FC being put out of business nor does it make any referance to even Antonov's plea let alone whether he is guilty or innocent. So my point remains. Some of your lot are jumping the gun by acting as if this'll bring the death blow onto Pompey and acting as if Antonov's already been charged, proven guilty and sentanced. It doesn't look good, undoubtedly, but that doesn't means anything is cut and dry yet.

The death blow? PFC are (as earlier quoted) the turd that won't flush - you will be fine. After everything you have been through, you are the Houdinis of Liquidation!

I said before nothing will happen!

And to be honest I am surprised some Saints fans would welcome this given that we were in hard times a few years ago!

despite the giggling delight from them down the road, PFC will sail through this latest scandal, and we'll come out rocking

And incidentally, the spurs managers up for tax evasion? I don't see them shi.tting their pants.

Well I did warn you at the time!

PFC are now like some worn out tart being passed from seedy owner to seedy owner to launder or move money around!

Having been through hell ourselves, I wish Portsmouth the best of luck in avoiding Administration. I'm perfect happy watching you lose on the pitch, just as, no doubt, you are perfectly happy to watch us lose as well. There's no way I want you to lose in the board-room, especially to a bunch of crooks who have no place in the game in the first place.
