The logical thing would be for us to take 1 of the 4 opportunities we've had to move out of the bottom 3 ! Yet we've played turd in all of them despite being in great form according to you. What's your explanation for that ?
Be objective and look at the table, now we're 4 points off safety, roughly where we were at Christmas give or take Our form is 'ok' and some teams above us worse but they have a couple of wins / 6 or so points advantage over us. Carrying on like this it's not going to be enough Our goal difference is the major positive for me, it might come down to that at the end And no, its not rubbish, it's factual
Nobody's saying we should have stuck with Ainsworth. This wasn't a tough away game. With proper team selection and motivated players, this should have been a gimme win against a very poor side .
More like **** tactics, poor selection and an inability to teach defenders how to defend set pieces or to get your players able to take a decent one !
That's the most disappointing thing tonight, seemed to be improving and then that total rabbit in the headlights performance...none of the new lads made any difference either. Only saving grace is I have no idea which team will turn up for the next game and overall I have to concede that we're better than we were, is it enough? I'm not sure
That's 2 hours of my life i won't get back...... We started well and looked the better side, but we gave them belief by not forcing the issue..... remember they had 2 wins in 18 games and we allowed them back into the game by taking foot off the peddle....... Armstrong was too isolated up front and then got bullied out the game..... he needs to man up and give as good as he gets....... Our creativity in midfield was non existent 2nd half and our delivery from out wide was appalling, but then we weren't getting bodies into the box anyway........ For all the huff and puff 2nd half their I can't recall their keeper having to make a save 2nd half......... we didn't create 1 clear cut chance.... 5 chances to get out bottom 3 and we've fecked them all up...... Only positive is that Millwall are in free fall and are giving us a sniff of a chance to get out of the sh1te...... We were our old Charity Park Rangers tonight.....
Paal has hit the front defender with 44% of his corners this season !! Seriously wtf , how is this clown still taking them ? Manager wants shooting
This is where you're misunderstanding me. I'm not guaranteeing we'll survive relegation. But our manager's form is mid table or just above mid table. It's likely that we'd be mid table if he'd been our manager at the start of the season. Yet some fans are piling in on him. He's clearly a decent manager who came into a difficult situation in a country he hasn't managed in. Some of you lot don't deserve him. We were the WORST team in the division. Now we're clearly not. There's still a lot of games to go and definitely teams who are starting to struggle. We're not struggling for form. We're coming from a crap position to start with. Is it too late? Who can tell.
We played like the worst team in the division tonight, in what was close to being a must win game. Not good enough.
This is the championship. Pretty much every game can be a tough game if the team decides to then up. I know what their form was. But they have a good squad and turned up today. Their manager looked like he was ****ting at 1-0, probably knowing his job was on the line. They stepped up. Their passing was excellent, especially penetrative, attacking passes. They were committed and put in full effort. They defender well and broke well. Several of their players were on good form. I don't care what a team's form is, it's all to play for on the day.
We did not play like the worst team in the division. We had our chances. We had some passages of good play. You're just emotional.
Loving your.optimism...wish it would.brush off on the players though. The next fourteen games are all gonna be cup finals, and we'll all be watching fron behind the sofa if tonight is anything to go by. It's not going to be fun.....
It wasn’t a tough game. Stoke were ****ing awful and we managed to be even worse. None of them looked like professional footballers. Literally falling over the ball.
The gap is widening and the teams within our reach reducing, that's the reality Stoke are now 6 points above us, Huddersfield 5 points That's a couple of wins assuming they don't pick up any points Blackburn and Birmingham looking hard to reach again Meanwhile we've played 32 games and won 7 Now suddenly we are going to spring half of our previous wins in 3 or 4 games? It's narrowing rapidly and we are not closing the gap Cifuentes needs to stop fannying about and stop us shipping goals. The one thing Warnock always did was tighten the defence, aim for 1 point minimum We are abysmal at set pieces and it's costing us
Warnock isn't our manager though, so it'a pointless getting into guessing games as to what would have happened if we'd appointed him (although he'd still never have replied to Uber...)
Shockingly poor performance. Armstrong completely isolated without any support but still spends too much time moaning and throwing his arms up in frustration. Which led to us conceding the corner for the goal. But to not create a single chance in the second half in such an important game is unforgivable.
That was a pretty spineless performance, stoke seemed to be up for it but we weren’t but should’ve been, didn’t see this result coming, gutted as that was our chance & blew it
