I think I set the over/under for him at 3 goals when he signed. Can't remember who with.. but don't think I'm in too much trouble.
He’s just well well past it. He’s 38 ffs and couldn’t do the business in the 2nd best team in the division. I don’t know why we thought it’d be different here, where chance creation is low on the whole for a striker like him.

He was brought in a bit part player to come from the bench and offer wisdom to the younger forwards. 3 would be a decent enough return in that context.

Really I think Connolly needs to be stepping up if we're talking about a starting place.

I'm not relying him on to start, I'm relying on him to contribute.

Then it would make most sense to bring him on late in games when his lack of sprightliness might just be levelled out by oppositions fatigue, and his knowhow can be best exploited.

Why have a fit Connolly and bring in Ohio then start a 38 year old anyway? It would be baffling to me.

(Mind you it worked with Deano).

Again, who's saying Sharp should start?

Stop being honest..... Sorry negative

Seemed the consensus on the 1904 pod and I've seen some suggested lineups on twatter with him starting.

Incidentally have you had a chance to hear their latest drop yet?

30 mins of Kieran Maguire talking specifically city. Should be right up your alley.

Especially what he had to say about where we most likely are in the context of the wider championship.

Will be listening later today.

Homework for the players this week should be watch these clips:

You must log in or register to see media

Philogene should learn to give and go a bit more to open space, or look for a pass/shot earlier than he does.

It does help when it's a side coming down with a squad that cost 400m as opposed to a squad that cost 12m at the end of last season.

(You should get the reference later)

Well work commitments meant I was spared the ignomy of weekends poor showing, hopefully we can get back on track and provide the performance we are all craving. No excuses, there's talent in this team, just need to get em working as a team and not a bunch of individuals

Drop tufan back alongside morton. Philogene back on the left with zaroury on the right. Play giles at right back if coyle isn't available with matty jacob on the left. Finally Connolly up top. Bit of a patchwork, but should be enough for rotherham
