I thought that at the time, but a replay showed Morton deliberately run to where the ball was placed to block the kick being taken. Ref got it right.
Re. Tufan. Watching the replay, could have been given.

Liams never won 3 on the bounce with City as the manager. Time to fix that....

Back home, fed & watered (wined), great day back at footy. Def game of two halves, against a poor Milwall team, first half we played some sublime, slick football & movement, in total control, mouth watering to think with more training together what could be achieved. Thought Giles was solid, confident, fitted straight in, Zaroury also impressed, worked well together despite limited time together. Second half, we seem to lose composure, impetus, more chaotic at times, probably as they made about 5 subs before we made a move. Allsop was very frustrating, nothing really to do, but slow & labouring in distribution, a lucky boy not to get lobbed again, he knew he was beaten, made no effort to get back, lucky that ball dipped into roof of net. Ohio, early days, initially looked to me to be a bigger version of “Malcolm!” Unsure where he should be, Rosie & others having to direct him. Ozan undoubtedly my MOM, brilliant from start to finish, covering every blade of grass. A nice touch also, for Rosie to bring young Jacob on, to show he’s still a big part of the team.

Anyway, brilliant to be back at footy, job done, 3 points, clean sheet, in top 6. With this group, new additions & time together we will get better. UTT. Onwards & upwards.

Thought we looked really good 1st half and should have made our dominance count more during that period. At 1-0 it just takes a deflection or a mistake and you can end up with just 1 point instead of the 3 you deserve. All in all I thought it would have been a travesty if we hadn't won, but we were in danger of being made to pay for not putting the game to bed in the 1st half.

Wasn't just me and junior that was frustrated with Allsop today...

Ref beyond frustrating and inconsistent,!thought the linesman were better

Some sublime stuff first half - should have been 2-3 goals up and killed the game off

New players fitted in well, step up on previous (Ohio not enough to judge yet)

Their players got away with too many niggling fouls and I'm sure there large defender winger (who was crap) was wearing shoulder pads like American Throwball..

Police 'earning' their money 'coffee potting' the Mockney Meewaw before the bridge

A wins a win, but felt like it should have been a lot more

Pitch looking suddenly like a beach...

Hull and Rovers play on it after our next home game, then the ground staff have about 10 days to sort it out... lets hope it s a dry sunny February....

Allsop was questionable again today and his now what seems like weekly lack of positional awareness almost cost us, I think LR knew it as well, hence the heavy praise about his passing ability ( best in the league is a bit OTT though ) in his post match comments.... Hopefully the new guys in at some point over the next few games

A superb first 20 minutes and then we reverted to being Hull City. Which is fine because that first quarter has given a glimpse of what will be when the team have trained more together and they can read each other a bit better. It was a win with a clean sheet, can’t ask for more at this stage.

I really don't get this. Yes he nearly got lobbed, because their striker was through on goal and he came out. He wasn't caught out, he was just put in a difficult position. Tufan lobbed a keeper earlier this season in a similar position, doesn't mean he made a mistake, it's just a way that keepers can sometimes be beaten when one on one.

And his distribution was once again seriously threatening today. Just picking out wingers at the other end of the pitch like it's nothing. Dropping balls in behind them for Philogene and Zaroury to latch onto. It is pretty ridiculous how good his kicking is.

First half was typical home performance, start well and look like we are going to canter home. Score a goal and we take our foot off the gas and it becomes a more even game.
Whilst Millwall didn’t create much, there was always a worry they’d sneak one.
Whilst it’s a typical home performance at least we’ve got a bench full of players to work with. Rosie needs to get his creative coaching book out and take the handbrake off but I think he knows that.
Never start without a forward again, we aren’t man citeh

have we had cows on the pitch since the last game ?

Sadly, Hull FC have a home friendly tomorrow afternoon, so pitch is going take a bit of hammering again.

Yes he nearly got lobbed because his piss poor positional awareness, the fact tufan did it to someone else doesn't matter or change it.... Yes he's better then some with his feet but he's a poor goalkeeper

I don't understand what you want him to do in that situation. Just stay on his line so he can never be lobbed? You surely know football and goalkeeping well enough to know that keepers have to come out in that situation and sometimes it will mean that a well-executed lob can leave them helpless.

Good and bad today, bad was a boring 70+ minutes and if anyone was entertained by that fare they're easily pleased. Good, three points and a clean sheet. Good was also a decent day out with mates, then spending best part of an hour in Clarendon afterwards talking to Millwall fan Michael, a year younger than me and someone that knew the 'score'. :emoticon-0125-mmm:

Yes I do know football and keepers, hence why I'm very confident in saying he's a poor goalkeeper who is good with his feet.... Yes keepers do have to ( when the time is right ) come out, but to come out to early and get caught in no mans land as he did is a mistake and poor positional awareness. We now have a new guy in, hopefully he's a more rounded one who will keep us moving forward with his feet, but will also be a decent level GK
