How are they similar? , this guys a tricky winger, his words not mine, his goal scoring record is nowhere near as good as Tammy, I don’t see the similarities personally
Max Bird confirmed overnight. As we knew loaned back to Derby until the summer. 3.5 year deal. https://www.bcfc.co.uk/city-men-news/bird-is-a-robin/
Rangers transfer news: Deadline Day update emerges on Bristol City striker Tommy Conway https://www.ibroxnews.com/2024/02/0...emerges-on-bristol-city-striker-tommy-conway/
32? players switched to a new championship club on the last day of the window ... often this week see's a few "become/are unattached" join a club for a short term contract.
We rarely beat the first man at crosses. Terrible. We used to have a great crosser of the ball - Elliasson - highest number of assists in the Championship despite only playing him as sub - and then we got rid.
Because he couldn’t do anything else, so now we’ve got players, that as well as not being able to anything else can’t cross a ball or get assists either
The ratings on our crosses from free kicks and open play have to be one of the worst in the division, and unless some of the new incomings can actually get height on the ball we are basically up the creek. Our shortcomings are everything needed to make a decent squad and the powers that be always seem to miss that vital point when it comes down to building a team capable of consistency. Bristol City approach the men's football side of a sports empire in such a haphazard way that it is surprising that it hasn't fallen behind the commitment to the other sports teams in the organization. I think that our owner has been thinking about getting out of the business for some time, and particularly after the debacle of Ashton Vale and it's dog owners rebellion, which has diminished his dream of owning a top class franchise capable of challenging for the top of some pyramid or other. The situation that we find ourselves in currently is no different than most of the seasons for the previous 10 years or so and the chances of us ever seeing a serious challenge for success backed up by a squad that is enjoyable to watch becomes less likely by each week that passes. Personally I think the FFP has brought discontent to the sport and in particularly in the Championship whereby teams like ours have to suffer whilst those that failed in their bid to stay in the Premiership get rewarded with a lot of money to help their cause in getting back from whence they came. That scenario in my books is never going to be a level playing field and somethings need to be changed if we are going to be able to give it a real go.
