We’ve added blistering pace out wide, a powerful presence at the back and some more guile and experience in midfield. Not bad at all.

Right. Thanks for your company all. I'm going to try to stay off here and twitter for the next 48 hours or so until the Boro match. Because I know its going to be a ****show reacting to no striker and I don't want to get triggered. Night!

Only included the injured players who may play again this season. 17 games left and not many midweek games, I think the squad looks pretty good. IMG_4471.jpeg

Positive because Clarke, Neil, Roberts, Ballard and Patterson are still here - hardly a selling club unless it's for a big fee.

Negative still no established c.forward who would give this team another dimension. Hopefully Rusyn and Burstow kick on big style from here.

Forget that, I didn’t see him in your back up team. I’m a tit.

Love Seelt but would rather see him at CB, just tried to put the players in their 'natural' positions.

Shame we didn’t get that CDM in but wasn’t expecting too much this window. The kids we have signed look exciting anyway.

Pretty much how I feel. Happy we are holding firm with our big assets and just hope one of the forwards can start firing.

Pretty happy with the window tbh, i wanted 4 players to sign:
    LB
    CM
    Winger
    Striker

And we got 3 out of 4 positions sorted. Yes loads will keep going on about not signing a striker - already seeing loads going mental on social media demanding that speakman goes because of not signing one. If the right one wasnt available then we have to trust what weve got, hemir has the raw attributes to be a good striker and rusyn looks a handful, those 2 just need games to adapt to the english game. Hopefully burstow will kick on now hes got his 1st goal.

I always say it every window is the opportunity to improve your squad and ours is better now than it was at the start

Yes pritchard will be missed at times but i think changing to a 433 suits our players more n we couldn't do that with him. Triantis n mayenda needed game times and they were hardly going to play for us the 2nd half of the season so will get good minutes in a tough physical league which will only serve them well - i remember how good a hibs loan was for watmore.

Styles n hjelde will both compete for a starting line up place n both have played in this league before so should adapt to it quickly

If we had signed mundle in the summer i think folk would be a lot more excited than they are about him. This lad ripped up the PL2 last season n looked one of the best young prospects in the country. His belgium move didnt work for him but hopefully hes learned from it and i reckon he will make an impact before the end of the season

Lots to be excited about its not up to beale n co to get the best out of our squad

Scratching my head over the striker situation... yet another window comes and goes and we don't invest in the position we have been crying out for ...simply don't understand it .

We have added flexibility to the team which is good. Once again though, the striker situation is a specific area of concern. Getting on 2 years under since we had success in it. It's definitely a weakness and it needs sorting. We love a wide forward. Shame they didn't get one sorted yday, more trying but not closing.

That said, I want them to play Rusyn more anyway. So hopefully he gets the mins. CDM would have been preferred over styles for me, but a flat 3, he can do a job I guess. But CDM and striker were the key positions for me and not sure we have addressed that.

Happy enough. This wasn't a window to gamble in my opinion.

Whether some of our fans want to believe it or not, FFP is a thing, and keeping our powder dry today, gives us much more flexibility tomorrow.

I'm glad we didn't risk ripping up our wage structure to give Kieffer Moore £30k a week to return 5 goals and see us finish 7th or go out in a playoff semi.

If we'd done that, Ian Harte would have been knocking on the door today asking for a massive bump for Clarke and others would no doubt follow suit.

The more I look at our signings, the more I wonder if we're going to change shape at times. Hjelde can play left of a back 3. Styles can play left wing back or left side of midfield and cover Clarke playing as a very advanced wing back.

We invested heavily in the summer, but made the mistake of buying for next year's time. Nobody for now unless we got lucky and someone settled very quickly.

We've just got to hope that someone begins to stake a claim.
