To think there's fans actually desperate to sell this player <doh>

Nobody is desperate to sell the player. But there are some who understand selling someone for £100m - as Liverpool did with Coutinho and Villa with Grealish - might be unavoidable and accept he’s our most saleable asset.

Is he irreplaceable? Nope. Can he at times be too petulant? 9 bookings suggests he can. Is he slow? Yep. It’s just a realistic view mate. Tonali is also a very good midfielder.

Fair summary - we may need to take it on the chin to move the whole squad forward

There's also numerous examples of clubs selling their best players and replacing them with tripe.

It's not really case of people not understanding anything it's a case of fans flapping their arses and having no patience just because Eales said we will sell players at the right price like any other club pretty much.

Newcastle have several saleable players and don't have to sell Guimareas, but ultimately the club and player will decide.

I don't think they'll sell him unless he wants to go and he actually doesn't appear to anyway which is another reason why I'd rather sell literally any other player.
