What Prolific said. Don't ask us whether any of our previous loan signings are any good as we never get the best out of them!

Knobbo. I can assure you mate. Nobody on the earth is slower than Kisnorbo. He tried to get out of 2nd gear a couple years back at your place and I actually heard his achilles snap from the away end when Moro burnt him! <laugh>

@cunning - glad something is at least being attempted but would imagine pressure has a lot to do with it. Given our CBs would be troubled by a snail for pace could it be much worse. Besides, it's not just about pace but positioning and awareness which our pair don't have much of.

I disagree i think positioning wise and reading of the game there arent many better than Ward in the division. He's just knocking on and needs an understudy to take over from him at the end of the season.

He was crap for us. What I will say in his favour though, is he did play at leftback for us, whereas his actual position is centreback. At leftback he never went forward, very slow and just generally poor. I can't remember him actually being that bad defensively, or though his performances have faded from my memory.

If our CBs were good we'd not be looking for replacements back to back and if the comments here are true then we're in for a tough time. Ward doesn't have much pace like Robbo but the gaps on Sunday were there for all to see.

There are a few ideas why I think our defence was better the previous 3 years, the first being playing at a lower division but last season I think other personnel took pressure off the defence and we played more as a unit with everyone helping out and in particular, Moro and the other loan players. Also think the fear of relegation for newly promoted teams spurned better performances (extra half a yard etc) from the defence and perhaps a little more luck or worse opposition. I say this as quite a few games the opposition have had a good share of goal attempts.

Perhaps 3 wins on the spin made them take it easy thinking they were safe but KJ obviously has had enough and if it takes a couple of 'rejects' to sort the defence then so be it but something had to change in defence like it had to in midfield and up front, it's just taken a little longer to sort the defence out and can only imagine the air must have been a little blue after the last couple of games in the dressing room ;)
