I know they are **** atm

But Old Trafford is still the de facto place to get an away tie for a small club imo <ok>

Yeah exactly more about the ground and seeing a couple of biggish names. They sold all their tickets to Ipswich, which I think was somewhere between 4- 5k - Kent alone can easily do 40k on a biggy. Think that's what the Gills did against Man City at Wembley.

Maidstone are actually a defunct club, but I don't know how many people are aware of that. They made it to tier 4 / L2 some decades ago, but folded. So this club is a reincarnation on a new but very small ground with artificial turf, but no resemblence as such to the club that folded.

Did not realise that.

Watching Lesta v Brum

Would be a massive upset for the Fosse household if they don't dispatch their neighbours in this one

or one of the London clubs whoever is left in it. I don't particularly see Man City as an attraction but some of the younger fans might, defo Liverpool, but keep it a bit more local if poss, hence London preference.

5th round midweek isn't it so London defo be better for away.

Yeah getting into the top four leagues was the death of them. Their old ground they sold to MFI if people remember them, I think they moved to Dartford but that was never going to work and folded as a result. Only five years or so before Brighton had ground share at the Gills ground, not many people remember that either I'd suspect!

Our reserves used to play some friendly games at Dartford, pre season, so I've been there a few times. Didn't realise Maidstone were groundsharing with them for a while. Probs would have been after I moved out of London.

I know Dartford quite well because my old man used to work for Burroughs and Welcome there. Which then became Glaxo Smithkilne

Sketchy af that

To be honest, that shouldn't happen. Surely they should have a safety fence running along the edge of that upper tier ?

Well it looked liked he came out of the section he was in, then climbed on to the next structure, which protects the fans below, before going for a tumble, so my guess is he was pissed or on something.

Looks to me like he's come bowling down those steps and the momentum has taken him onto the roof of that lower stand.

There'll be an H&S exec inquiry into that, and I reckon they'll insist that a retaining fence is put up on that upper tier.

Defo looks like Booze is involved though.

If you watch it again at 11 seconds, you can see that as he comes down those steps, he misses the last one and his momentum takes him over the wall and onto the roof of the lower tier

Sketchy af

Some celebration though <laugh>

Everyone going batshit over Maidstone

Magic of the cup and all that ****.

Fukin meh

A similar thing happened to me, (albeit I didn't go over the edge of a stand), back at Highbury celebrating a goal against Spurs.

The North Bank was so packed, that I had to stand on a set of iron steps going up into the back of the stand. We scored and as I rushed forwards jumping around I missed the last step and sprained my ankle

Had to be wheeled up Avnell Rd in a wheelchair to the physio rooms in the old clock end. Remember giving some Spurs fans the ****er sign from my wheelchair as the kind St John's ambulance volunteers wheeled me up the road <laugh>

Actually it's not that similar at all, apart from the missing the last step thing <laugh>
