Not transfer news, but I'm perplexed by Joelinton being out for the entire season with a thigh injury. Quick search online and this is what I find: "Most thigh muscle strains do not need surgical attention. Even Grade 3 strains can heal on their own through rest and physical therapy." Correct me if I'm wrong but he hardly went down in agony.

There's something ****ing weird going on at this club.

Can be more serious that they first seem.

Ie remember Woodgate, he packed him off to Real with what seemed like a mild thigh injury, but keep him out for 2 years. That WAS Woodgate though.

Sure, but Joelinton has literally no history of injury. And he just kind of sat down before coming off. Even severe thigh stuff (according to online) is rarely treated with surgery.

Then you look at this window - Howe repeatedly saying nothing was happening, then all of a sudden we're selling Trippier, Wilson, Almiron without even a remote indication of incomings.

Yeah, it was when he got shoved in the back playing that cross field pass. It was a weird injury, but if he's ruptured an adjoining tendon or something it can be very serious and most definitely require surgery.

It's all just media rumours for now though. The club have supposedly rejected bids for Trippier and Wilson, so not as.though they are jumping at offers.

Joelinton's injury is a strange one. He jarred it when he landed after that dirty Mackem twat pushed him. Then he sat down. Then got up and played.on for a few minutes, then got subbed. But then, it is Joelinton. He's like the Terminator - the opposite to Woodgate above. He probably has a worse injury than most, but didn't roll around in agony because he's made of pure granite.

Read somewhere that Miggy has a 25% sell-on clause from when we signed him (negotiated by a certain Darren Eales when he was at Atlanta). So IF we do sell him, we'll only keep 3/4s of the fee.

Presumably FFP calcs work on the net amount, or is it still based on the gross transfer fee?

Kind of makes you think those saying we needed to sell Bruno and Isak to clear FFP had no idea what they were talking about if we aren't taking good money for a 33 year old or shipping out a striker who manages about 50% of a season! To be clear I think they should both stay 6 months - Miggy is the one for me - good money for a player who's had his career purple patch and reverted to type!

Joelinton - pure granite indeed! Most peoples muscle strains would be the equivalent to a crack in the pavement whereas if his muscles are gone it's like the grand canyon!

Gibbs-White and Onana in and Trippier, Wilson and Almirion out? Hardly inspired, but would be ok, doubt it's happening though.

Trippier we have the cover for and at 33 if we can get what we paid for him we've got to take it
Almiron done well, great servant, proffesional, work rate, but again if you can get money back for him now you've got to take it
Wilson - not going anywhere, not fit probably wouldn't pass a fitness test currently
