Yeah, I'm not sure what it would take to ever unseat him. He's basically part of the cabinetry now. Would take quite a bit of demolition to remove him. And that's the way it should be... Managers get replaced far too quickly.
I think Tyler Morton will develop into a decent Prem player, hopefully with us if his attitude is right.
If Morton, Bajcetic and Bradley can all develop into first team players (massive if) then that would save us a decent wedge and presumably help our HG quota as well.
I think they decided after his 20mins and then set back that he wasn't right in terms of growth and are actually holding him back deliberately. patience is a virtue here apparently.
morton should be able to slot into a mid table prem side if he can star in the championship but I'm skeptical klopp thinks he's good enough. he'll make us a nice bit of cash as it stands though. Bradley I'm really not sure about. I k ow some from northern Ireland have made big statements but he doesn't look an athlete so I need to see him play really
I wonder if down the line we might see prem clubs putting in clauses when selling to Saudi clubs that if the player moves on loan/perm deal to Newcastle then will be due an extra Xmillion to try and put off any potential deals where they buy them then sell/loan to Newcastle on the cheap to get round ffp. Obviously still benefits Newcastle but would mean clubs get some extra money
You could try. I think in general a generic 20% sell on fee (not profit) could be included so any player returning from there to sheff utd for exmaple woudl also be caught How to deal with loans is difficult as honeslty we see a lot of this going on to break other clauses right across europe. if for example we really hated nunez we could have blocked instalments to Benfica by just loaning him out rather than playing him so the appearance clause is broken. Nobody has a solution for this as far as i can see so not sure you could put a clause in about a player returning to the prem after 12 months even on loan. The other issue is swaps. juve got done for swaps on ffp where they are barca were basically making up numbers that were lunatic where no money was changing hands just to claim it for ffp. Right now theres nothing at all to stop newcaslte swapping a player with a saudi club and claiming a massive valuation to write off on ffp? Uefa seem to have a handle on transfers for clubs in Europe and playing in Europe but the real issue here is fifa corruption allowing anyone owning 50 clubs if they like.
Liverpool are in the clear to sign Andre Trindade from Fluminense this month after Fulham ended their pursuit of the midfielder, who is said to be better than all the Brazilian midfielders in the Premier League. so fulham have decided that he's too expensive and too hard to figure out who own parts of his contract etc?
So if we look forward 5 months to then summer window, what do we really need? Seniors: GK is sorted. I expect Adrian to leave but another youf keeper to take that slot. RB. What do we do here? we have tried the young understudy route with two options and one is broken fomr the day he arrive. Bradley looked alright but also looks physically like a kid. Do we buy? LB: two seniors available plus apparently a kid (or not) RCb: Gomez and konate? gomez has done ok this season and proved some fitness and games have helped but is he the man? LCB: VVD and quasah. I see no more buying here 6. Do we put trent up against endo or buy? Bajceitc is the unknown, are we waiting for him? will morton ever get a game? RCM: szoboszlai for sure. elliott is the understudy. LCM: macca and jones? gravenberch also who needs to develop LW: Diaz and nunez? ST: Jota and gakpo? RW: salah. So we start the process by bringing in the option here? Youfs: GK: mrozel miscuir kelly all young keepers (and a couple more) rb: bit lighter here lb: beck and chambers and scanlon CBs: Pinnington, nallo, jonas, koumetio, pitt. theres a huge amount CMs: mcconell, clark, pilling, nyoni, evwing and several more that klopps kind of passed on attackers: koumas, dans, figueroa, kone doherty, alhmed, gordon, blair, doak, cannonier We actually have too many youfs if that is possible. theres a huge amount of very yuong ones who are pushing their 19 and 20 year old teammates out Loans imo are going to be vital. Do i see a fowler/owen to take on that salah mantle? Not really. gordon and doak have a lot to do. Do is see a RB? No. Do is see a 6? not really. bajcetic is the one and we need to see what happens here Do i see players like elliott and gravenberch needing to look over their shoulder a bit. yup. I think we need a left footed winger/forward and a right full with some urgency. I think the rest of the squad before departures is fine. I do not expect to see adrian or thaigo at the club next season. Matip i'm not sure about as we could reward him and not see him play next year just to get fit to retire in saudi or something stupid. I am hoping to see williams, and hpillips finally be let go as they are just there to harvest loan fees and pay thier wages. They need to find a career and play. Carvalho and morton for me will be right back out on loan again and seen as future cash assets.
Nobody really knows the situation except those involved. What we chat about on here is based on what is put out there and it's increasingly difficult to know which sources can be trusted more than others. My understanding is that Andre had a 'gentleman's agreement' with Liverpool to sign after the S American Cup thingy for about £17m. It appeared that other clubs became interested and the fee doubled so Liverpool ended their interest and haven't gone back. If other clubs are being put off by the increasing fee, then the agent will be doing what he can to keep Andre's name out there. I read this week that he's already said goodbye to his teammates. Again, all speculation because we don't really know. Klopp won't be held to ransom and I'd be very surprised if he now wanted the player after 'breaking the agreement'.
