It’s stuff like this we would have had to do going back. Being out in all weathers, hunting, fishing, gathering water and wood etc. I know riding a bike and camping on the moors isn’t quite that. But it puts you back in touch with it.

Modern life has turned people into a bunch whinging pussies who can’t fend for themselves. Folk these days want everything handed to them on a plate and don’t want to put any effort in.

Some peoples definition of being tough is firing off an abuse tweet when their chicken McNuggets turn up cold <laugh>
I agree with all of that, mate. I get you.

Once what I’m doing now is finished with, I’m going off wild camping in Scotland and I’ll be gone for a few weeks, at least.

'kin right mate

A few weeks would be awesome too, really give you enough time to adapt to the outdoors and get in synch with it all.

Whenever we go away, it's only for a few days, but it's long enough to have to plan where you're going to find water sources, wood for fires etc.

Will probs do some in the summer too where we have to catch our own fish, maybe trap some rabbits, steal some cauliflowers lol, live off the land for a bit

Anyway, anybody ever come across this stuff ?

Shilajit

Looking at @Lovearsenalcock and @Treble bexause I think it’s from Pakistan / Nepal / Himalaya area. Apparently it’s a staple for Sherpas and mountain folk

supposed to be great for cognitive function and cellular regeneration.

Will try it and report back.

You can get those from a handful of soil. Should be able to find that while you are out camping.

Fulvic acid I think is the main component
Soil is full of both fulvic and humic acids. Use the stuff where it has lots of decaying organic matter (vegetation or bugs). They should be particularly abundant in the peat bogs you will be cycling through.
