He wasn't speaking against the club as such, though, was he? Basically, what he was saying is it was unfair to boo a player who, more than any other, kept us from relegation eighteen months ago.

Laidler was an idiot to say what he said, but he didn't hope Sunderland would lose. In fact, he said nothing at all against the club. He was speaking up against what he considered unfair treatment of another player.

So what did you read, Billy Fatmouth? - whatever gives you the best opportunity to slag someone off, as usual? Why don't you just "f*ck right off" (as you once said to me) you "complete knob end" (as you once said to me). I think you're a f**king waste of space.

P.S. Apologies to other not606 readers for this. As you know, I don't normally abuse other SAFC fans, whatever their opinion. But our Billy chunky gobsh*te makes a habit of this trash, and I just wondered if the two bit smartarsed dumbo could take some.

Why do players use it, nowt but trouble?



Newcastle United have confirmed that the police have been contacted after striker Sammy Ameobi was racially abused on Twitter.

The incident occurred on Sunday evening and the Magpies have vowed to take the 'strongest possible action' against those responsible for the comment.

A club statement read: "Newcastle United are aware of a racist remark that was directed towards Sammy Ameobi via Twitter on Sunday evening.

"The club and Sammy have reported the matter to the police, who are now dealing with the incident.

"The racist comment is wholly unacceptable. Newcastle United will not tolerate racism of any kind and will take the strongest possible action against those responsible."

The offending account has since been deleted.

Ameobi, the younger brother of Shola, appeared as a late substitute in Monday night's 3-1 Premier League victory at Stoke which saw the Magpies climb into third place in the table after a 10-game unbeaten start to the campaign.

It is not the first time a Newcastle player has found himself in the news because of the social networking site.

Former midfielder Joey Barton effectively sealed his departure from St James' Park for QPR after making critical comments about the club during the summer.

Newcastle's statement comes at a time when the Football Association is investigating claims that QPR defender Anton Ferdinand was the subject of a racial slur by Chelsea and England captain John Terry on 23rd October.

Jordan Laidler is a good player & has worked hard & will go far, the only twats out there r the ones on here that dont appreciate a good player when they see one & got nothing better to do than slag the poor kid off!

Bit of criticism to make the lad stronger. He's a good young player for the academy and reserves. Maybe a few people should spend less time ranting and cheering for the homegrown striker. I seen and read worse from first team players in many of clubs.
 
If he really has said this, I'm afraid to say that it nothing short of a disgrace...I appreciate that he is young, but to bite the hand that feeds you is just not on..
As has been said earlier, players should keep well away from Twitter, especially if they havn't got the brains to be tactful..
