When do we see our 1st winter transfer incomer? We cant keep waiting for players to return from injury because judging by the length of time out we'll be lucky to see them before Easter. Recruits are needed now, not the last week of the winter window.

If the rumours about the questionable signing of Phillips are true, then soon.

There hardly seems to be mamu more rumours and excitement, so hopes aren't too high right now.

I honestly think they'll consider this season a write off and just save money for the summer unless a good deal comes along.

I agree with you,Botman will star for the Dutch this summer and his value will shoot up coupled with the Bruno sale we'll be in line for £250m,throw in another £100m and everything in the garden will be rosy!

Some good and bad news for some;

The end of Juve's interest in Phillips could boost Newcastle's chances of signing the midfielder. (Mail)

Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff could be on his way out of the club if the right offer comes along for the 26-year-old Englishman.

Raphinha, all day. Excellent RW, far better than what we have.

Philips is a done deal, but it'll drag on and on and on, like Gordon did. There's a sad inevitability about it, yet it'll still take us for ****ing ever to get it done. Not sure what the **** happened from Jan 2022 to Jan 2024, but something went a bit tits up in transfers. We went from bringing in Trippier and Bruno early to negotating with Everton all month last year. I expect the same with Philips.

No idea who Diomande is. Unless they're PL-ready, they won't be coming this month.

I'd say you're right(Phillips) and that's why they'll listen to offers for Longstaff.

I mean, a lot depends on the future plan. If there'a already movement on Guimaraes to PSG/Madrid, then I doubt Longstaff will go as it'd be Joelinton/Willock LCM, Philips/Tonali CDM and Tonali/Longstaff RCM with Miley as a level of youth cover. Howe loves players like Longstaff so as long as Howe's here, the likes of Longstaff, Burm, etc., will regularly get minutes.

If we could get Raphinha then the transfer of Philips is more palatable.
