I've now realised that Cifuentes is as clueless as the players.
I'd take the Peterborough striker or the lad who's top scorer in the EFL, but both would require a reasonable fee that we can't pay. We are stuck looking at very very cheap options or frees and unfortunately all of those will be no better than Dykes ! Any half decent striker will be bought by any team with a modicum of dosh or a Prem side ! We are completely ended
Not much more he could have done with the players available and they’ve thrown in two goals that should never happen at this level.
I watched Derby v Portsmouth on Sky alongside our stream, they'd both have hammered us and Cardiff. Peterborough were excellent running Derby ragged in the end, they seem to have an endless supply of strikers from non league that score for fun. I fear if we go down it'll be a long and painful way back...

Fair enough, but I did say it wouldn't matter who had been brought in as this is the worst squad I've ever seen. I think Warnock would've somehow got us a couple of wins against the **** sides around us who we somehow conspired to lose to. If we don't have any money at all to spend then it's curtains cos these players are just cack. How do Peterborough keep finding strikers for peanuts that keep scoring plenty and then being sold on for bundles ? Our scouting system isn't fit for purpose, and nothing ever changes about it !

I agree, it's not a performance thing or even game time as they've all had ample chance, just not good enough at this level

Defence shocking & conceded both goals from corners is just not good enough, slow in build & no end product, Kohli made a difference but another injured & off, just for words with that performance & was going to be hard when missing our star players if you call them that!
Barry Fry, always seems to have had the contacts to unearth these gems. Ivan Toney who went to Brentford from Peterborough now looking at £100million move. These aren't lucky signings, they're properly scouted and have the quality required, something we have been seriously lacking for many years...
Some basic set piece defensive coaching wouldn't go astray ! I don't expect us to be any good at them offensively, but just to be able to defend them would help a great deal.
It’s our game in the last third that lets us down. 21 goals so far this season - lowest in the division. Our defence is mid-table at best with goals against. Marti has turned his forwards around every way imaginable and for no rewards. He must be as frustrated as we are. Our cash situation is going to see us go down without a fight I fear.
What I find most annoying is the fannying around with the ball across our own goal line. We’re so transparent with that play, oppositions just move forward onto us. We should be mixing it up so the opposition don’t know which play we’ll go for. We’re far too easy to read.

Exactly, and the problem hasn't been addressed for years the same as the striker situation !
New manager bounce was as bouncy as a bag of cement,to be fair this squad is threadbare in quality..were stamped on for league one.
It was so obvious to everyone that at the start of the season there wasn't enough goals in this squad to stay up, nothing has changed. We need to bring in 2 strikers an attacking midfielder and others ! We've no cash to get any of them, there really is no way out of the inevitable
