Good result, especially considering our missing players and Bournemouth's form. Thought we started well, but lost our way a bit when Sarr went off injured. A more clinical performance from the visitors could've been very damaging, though. Another match where we got fouled a lot and the opposition weren't significantly punished. Senesi was very lucky to stay on the pitch, in my opinion. Postecoglou's given the officials an out by saying that he won't criticise them.
I didn't think we played badly at all. Made much better chances than Bournemouth and scored three of them. Passing out was a bit scrappy but it always looks worse without our best midfielders who give the CBs better options in the press. Emerson did a lot of good things...especially the pass to Johnson for the third goal. We ended the match with only 10 players on the pitch of whom only four would be in our starting X1 but still looked ok.
Stop having digs at me (I am on the stattery case - so Ange can go full "fat waiter" in press conferences) .
I thought it was a good game to be honest, albeit I did think we got out of jail a few times but it is about time we had a break! A minority view on here I know, but I thought Davies was very good yesterday. The odd lapse but overall very good. This team is still going a bit under the radar with the media (long may it continue..) and who knows what the 2nd half of the season holds! Fingers crossed that a few good signings in the next month will have a big effect on our fortunes.... Now travelling down to matches on my own for a while as Junior is about to jet off to the far east for a few months, much to his mothers horror! Anyway, Happy New Year to all!!
