In a funny way this manager has managed to confuse everyone. " I think it is time to change the goalie" ..."maybe I could play Ralls instead of Wintle for a laugh" or " I could try Meitie on the wing he can`t be this bad" and "This Ugbo has scored 3 goals in the first 5 games we don`t need players scoring goals we have Meiitie" then Robinson and Bowler each scored so I better get them off" best of all " This bloody Tanner scoring a goal and an assist, must get him off at half time"
I have been critical of Wintle, Siopsis, Grant and Meitie but one thing I will say is they are trying and working hard for he team so I cannot ask any more than that, The last game our passing was bad, our attacks were missing, we were being out played and yet every player gave it their best. Sometimes in football this happens. I am sure Ipswich players all tried but lost 4=0. So easy to moan when we are not on the pitch. Football has no impact on our lives, it brings fans together so they can argue their point of view, it is an escape from reality for a short time, something to look forward to with the next game. Enjoy football but it is not life or death. If you don`t have a dream, how you going to make a dream come true. Promotion here we come. Best Wishes to all.

Interesting facts on our goalscorers.Etete top with 5. Ugbo second with 4 goals and 1 assist. Grant and Colwill, Ramsey and NG and Goutas 3 each but NG and Colwill have 2 assists each. At the bottom Meitie and Tanner 1 each and Ralls but interestingly Ralls has the most assist with 5....
Interesting stats. Ugbo has scored 4 goals in 955 minutes of play. Etete has scored 5 in 644 minutes. Ugbo a goal every 239 minutes. Etete a goal every 129 minutes. Why would anyone start Ugbo over Etete? To be fair, the return from all our strikers has been poor.
Ralls being top with assists as hardly a suprise. His set piece delivery is 2nd only to the legend that is Peter Whittingham over the last 20 years. WTF we were doing on the training ground last season is anyones guess. Time for Grant to be given a go through the middle I reckon.
I’m sure I read somewhere a few weeks back that City are top in the whole football league for set piece goals.
Why would anyone start Meitie instead of either of them. Can you post Meitie stats, he has 1 goal so I only need his minutes.
12 would have kept us in the playoffs hunt. Just. Unfortunately, we got 7, which is relegation form. Erol still getting the benefit of the doubt from me. If he gets his 5 signings with O'Dowda and Ramsey back, he'll have no excuses. It'll all be on him. Grant and Etete going off didn't look too good though.
Our loan signings have had half a season and in several ways they’ve been majorly disappointing. Runnarson is not up to this level. Panzo has hardly kicked a ball. Ugbo may have scored the odd goal but his forward play is poor. Bowler has been the biggest disappointment; he started well and was good in our romp at Huddersfield but his performances recently have been truly woeful.
I think Erol was expecting Runnarson to be No 1 with a view to signing him permanently when his contract runs out at the end of the season. I think he gave him the run of games he did to justify bringing him in. It's a no from me. Panzo was alleged to be unfit when he arrived. Well, there's been plenty of time to put that right. I still feel our forward players are suffering from a lack of creativity in our engine room and from the lack of speed in getting the ball forward.
Runarsson and Panzo were brought in as cover and can't complain - in fact Runarsson got lucky with Bulut giving him that unjustified run at Alnwick's expense. As far as Bowler and Ugbo's concerned, they've been a huge dissappointment. They should have been capable of holding down their respective positions given the opportunities they've been given. Of the loanees, only Grant has had any sort of an impact and that's been more through effort rather than results. I see he's with us until the summer, but there needs to be some changes elsewhere in the pack.
It'll be interesting to see the quality of player that arrive in January and what positions. Erol saying he's hoping for 1st Jan, certainly first week for a couple. Given the lack of rumours, cards are certainly close to the chest.
Anyway I have decided to change the formation. I will play the back four halfway between the penalty area and the halfway line. This is where those long balls fall plus they cant stop counters before they get to the penalty area. The midfield three play at the edge of the penalty area to boot the ball back up field where the strikers are because they should not defend in our half they should stand next to their defenders. Having sorted all the problems I expect the team to go on an endless winning run..
