Shortly after our takeover went through Daniel Levy the bald **** called an emergency meeting where clubs all voted in new sponsorship rules that restricted Newcastle basically...some fair market ****e...basically an obstacle.
Is it ? I thought the latest vote was to add a further restriction which would have meant demonstrating you can get more than one offer of similar value ?
It's as long as it's fair market value. It's why they haven't taken the complete pisss with Sela or Noon, and why they've gone about things in a steady way with the likes of Saudia, Fenwick, Monster etc. Next big one will be getting rid of Sodexo who swallow up all the profits from the food and drink on match days for a ****ty £2m a year.
Sure that's the reason of trying to get you in earlier so all the food and drink money go back into the club Getting rid of Cstore for Adidas as well It will all take time but SOME of our fans haven't got the patience
Yeah, I lack patience for sure, fickle bastard to be fair. I just get frustrated when we get things wrong that we shouldn't - the Summer transfers, Howe's squad and in-game management, even little things like no recall option for Minteh. We'll learn but as a fan of near 40 years I've earned my right to moan on a forum! It's not like I'm ringing Howe and telling him he's a useless ****er or having a pint with Yasir telling him he's got to bring Pardew back.
Yep that's it mate and the latest vote wasn't to abolish that it was to stop a further addition it. I believe they would have also had to demonstrate more than one offer to get it passed the Premier league.
That's what was voted against. Bear in mind there is the new watchdog coming in which is likely going to put an end to a lot of the ****housery from the other clubs. As long as we can say our deals are similar to clubs with similar fan bases and in the league we can crack on.
It's an obstacle like FFP is an obstacle... one that Chelsea and City didn't have and then they started trying to pull up the drawbridge. The fact they are still trying to win votes says it all. They will continue to do everything humanly possible to stop competition.
I see there's a lot of self-important butthurt youtubers and twitter arseholes jealous that and American fan has won a place on the fan advisory committee.
to be fair she has been a fan for like 12 months or so and been to 3 games. I see their point. plastic tourists though are needed if we are to grow revenue.
Can I just check something. Now that the US and UK have started firing missiles at the Houthi rebels and sinking their boats, does that still make the Saudi's fighting them in Yemen wrong? and the bad guys? and if so does that now make the Brits the bad guys too? This football stuff gets a tad complicated at times
