Can't really see much stopping you at the moment. That being said, may I remind one or two on here with one of the most used and appropiate cliche's - Football is a funny old game. Remember Newcastle when they thought they'd won the title and got pipped.

I'd like to think that you'll blow automatic promotion and get canned by the side that makes a late charge to get the sixth spot with all the momentum that entails, unfortunately I can't see that side being us as we're just not good enough at the moment.

Just as long as we can throw a spanner in there somewhere come the 18th.. not literally that is- they're a bit touchy about taking things like that thru the turnstiles these days. <ok>
 
Ok, you have convinced me about the goal total... if Lallana stays fit. There was a period when he was out around the reading game, and we were only scoring a goal or two a game. If he is fit, and playing like he was at the beginning of the season we should easily make it.
106 pts though... that would be awesome!!!
 
To put in the simplest terms possible, I believe that we will be promoted because in my opinion we are the best team in the league. We have been the most consistent team in the country in 2011 and I believe that the squad is still improving (with age and experience) and haven't reached its' level yet.
 
Just as a comparison to Pompey's promotion season in 2002-03, the top six after this number of games were these (final position in brackets)

1 Pompey (1)
2 Leicester (2)
3 Watford (13)
4 Norwich (8)
5 Forest (6)
6 Sheff Utd (3)

I'm trying to find a stat that suggests you wont go up, but I can't find one <laugh>
 
I love the stats you guys throw up and appreciate they all look very good but maybe i have been a Saints fan to long to even think of promotion just yet, I am very much on the Adkins diet of One Game At A Time.

Oh, and if you do happen to engage Beddytare in conversation, I wouldn't bother with so many decimal places, and also to steer clear of percentages altogether would be my advice....;)

The Saints have a long history of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Adkins is getting me believing, but over half a century of conditioning cannot be undone overnight. Help me out, how many more points do we need to avoid relegation?!

In the old Div 1 and the Prem i was always confident we wouldn't get relegated it was when we had a sniff of success that i always wobbled. The Cup was unbelievably fantastic in 1976 but i felt over the last 40 years we could have added our name to something other than Runners up.
