Wood has nothing to do with thesummers recruitment ! Nobody has said he's right about everything.

If onlt you said we'd lose miserably before the game.. you expected to win.

We were shocking today. When will Howe realise that Dan Burn id not a Full Back. Far too slow for some of the lightning quick wingers in the PL. Has the turning space of a battleship. Schar consistently losses the ball when marauding into our opponents half leaving us too exposed. Trippier, for the first time in his Toon career is looking a shadow of himself. Today he played Woods onside to get that vital goal and I blame Howe for not having the guts to drop him and ensure he has a rest to re-charge his batteries. Far too many errors in his last 5 games
On current form our next 4 games look like we'll probably lose 3 with only our Mackem tie winnable. Thankfully January transfer window is upon us and we desperately need fresh blood in the squad to rejuvenate us.
Teams are wise to our tactics, every free kick and corner being taken by Trippier, can't anyone else give us some variety?
I think we can forget all about Europe for next season if this current rubbish continues.

Fair play to Forest, they did a number on us. Wood played a blinder and fair play to him for not celebrating, even his hat trick goal. Massive respect for that.

Howe: “today we weren’t far off” is he on a stand up comedy sketch show? We were ****ing shocking.

Luckily I did my insurance bet again, had £40 on forest to win at 5/1. Easy, easy money.

What is the significance of the fact I expected us to win? You did as well and so did everyone else.

It was our worst performance of the season and no one was expecting that.

Because before the game you looked at the side and thought we'd win. In fact you even said at 1-0 we'd get more goals..... now you're blaming things on having a couple of unavailable players.... it's excuses post event.

I'm not making excuses because there's none.

We're only 1 point worse off than this time last season.

I'm not blaming it on that, I'm saying it was a very bad performance overall.

What I'm also saying is these things happen. No one expected Wolves to beat City earlier on the season or City to lose at home to Brentford last season but they still did.

Everyone looked at the side and thought they'd win, you really don't have a point....but if you think you do, please let me know what it is.

You're on glue mate and I cannot explain this to you in a simpler way. You're all over the place arguing with yourself now.

The point was that Roland was right about summer recruitment. Then you started going on about wood.

Glue again? Well at least you haven't wheeled out "mental gymnastics" again.

It wasn't just him that critcised the summer recruitment. I did regarding the lack of a new CD and so did everyone else. He might be as whiney as you, but criticism of the summer recruitment wasn't unique to him.

Putting this performance today wholly down to summer recruitment is just ludicrous. The team we put out was still firm favourites to win.

Doesn’t really matter at this point, we’ve all been right and wrong a thousand times!

For me, that’s a disgraceful result, we were shambolic at times and Howe looks lost. I don’t think he’ll come out of this slump, personally. I said a few weeks ago big changes will be coming and sooner than we thought now.

He's ridden a wave of positivity post takeover and had lots of money. The solution always seems to be give him money. I don't think they should spend at all in January.

Give him the opportunity to work with this squad and see where things go . McTominay and another plodder is what he'll be after. Rashford would be his dream striker I bet. Recruitment has like you say been awful this season.

    My summery
This is the end of phase 1 or 2 after the takeover
Howe kept us up with players like wood and got the best out of our old players and cheap new players like Dan Burn.
The likes of miggy. Schar longstaff. Old school Bruce players have got to a height last season that they can’t get to again. A new rebuild is now needed to get to our next phase.

In an ideal world. Who from today would you like to be in our team in 2 years time.?

Isak, Tino, Miley, Gordon (just about), Joelinton and Willock. I think reliance on Bruno G is part of our problem and we likely need the £100m to deal with FFP properly.

He's our only top player and they'd only waste it on Phillips and Eric Dier

Luton and now Forest are borderline results. As we drop off a cliff in Jan it’ll be interesting.

The recruitment has been so poor, only those in the halls of power know who’s to blame but from the Amazon documentary it’s a joint Howe/Ashworth effort.

I can see Ashworth running to Man U and a lot of structural change at Newcastle.
