I'm not going to be knee-jerk as I think we can put together a good few wins before our pasting vs City but I expect a turn of form after the new year when we get some respite with the fixtures i.e no One top 6 team (United at home) from around January- Late March.

I think realistically 2nd is the highest we can finish and 6th is the lowest we will finish <ok>
 
Provided some key signings are made in Jan and Mikel gets his **** together I still think 3rd and possibly 4th. I reckon the Goons are on song and so are Tottenham and JT and Lamps won't allow us to play this ****e for the rest of the season!

I have no idea who to go for in January though.
 
Too early to say, the way were going 5th or 6th wouldn't surprise me but if we get our act together which i'm sure we will then 3rd
 
I am against January signings! They never seem to fit in! On paper we have the squad! What we dont have is a team spirit! Chelsea expect every man will do his duty!!
 
Before the season began, I would have put you down for 3rd, but having battled us hard all the way into 4th. The Gunners I predicted would finish no higher than 7th.

However, with us now having gone the last 9 games unbeaten and having scored at least 2 goals in all of those games, and what with AVB having proved himself to be far worse in the EPL than even I imaged he would be, I now believe that we will finish above you, in 3rd. Whether or not you remain good enough to clinch 4th spot is highly debatable, though, as I think the Toon are better than you, at this moment in time.

I still think Arsenal are good for only 7th.

Oh, come on, Drogs! Don't tell me that you truly believe Chelsea have been playing on top 4 form this season! Have you actually watched any of your games?
 
Since the QPR game, no. Before hand yes, we were playing good football and winning games regularly (except the United one). We're having a blip at the moment but I can take a positive from this, we haven't been given a thrashing yet, obviously the most worrying result is the Arsenal game but we did score 3 goals and a stupid mistake from Malouda brought the Goons back into the game. When we have created goals they've been good ones too.

It's very foolish to write us off because in the very likely event of us finishing in a strong CL position you will be wiping egg from your face! My only advice to you is not to be too cocky just yet!

That would be a fair comment, were it not for the fact that, since (a) we acquired Adebayor & Parker, and (b) Modric decided he wants to stay at Spurs (namely, since the third game of our season), we haven't even looked like getting beaten, and that includes our demolition of both Liverpool and Arsenal.

I'm not being cocky, I am merely translating into words what I am seeing with my eyes.

I have watched all of your games that have been on telly so far and admittedly said you play wonderful football BUT I can't help but think if you sustain injury to Modric/Parker/Adebayor you will be in the same predicament as last season! I'll give you Arsenal albeit they did have players missing but come on, you were more or less expected to hammer 'pool after Adam was sent off.

Come off it! You are being cocky, not an insult just a fact, nothing wrong with it but just saying if this backfires you'll look like a bit of a tit. We have possibly the 2nd best squad in the league in my opinion behind City of course, perhaps on a par with United but I'd say we have more depth - so do NOT write us off!
 
Let Hoddle have his laughs and his moment because i'm sure he was thinking and saying the exact delusions he had this time last year and come May here be disappointed again. Bookmarking this thread and looking forward to may :)

Although I imagine there will be WUMMING anyway if this happens, I won't be apologising. You are the one who's came on here to say it, I haven't denied it could happen either - I just think you're being cocky.
