Sunderland footballer Jack Diamond 'raped woman in his home'

A Sunderland footballer raped and sexually assaulted a woman he met on a dating app, a jury has heard.

Prosecutors said Jack Diamond assaulted the woman at his home in Falstone, Fatfield, Washington on 7 May 2022.

Appearing at Newcastle Crown Court, the 23-year-old denied rape and sexual assault.

The woman told police she agreed to a "cuddle" but wanted to "physically throw up" after being attacked, the court heard

Or what? You’ll spit your dummy out? Or you’ll stop going?

According to the Athletic, the Owners are supporting EH as they recognise what he did last year and the issues outside of his control this season which have impacted upon the team.

For people to say he’s now under scrutiny or should be is laughable and ridiculously naive. EH will have been under scrutiny from day one. His performance will be regularly discussed and compared to the continuously evolving Business Plan. All factors will be considered.

Just a pity there are so many people claiming to be fans who look at short term situations and then panic. If half the people on this Forum had been in charge of Man Utd then Ferguson would have got the bullet early doors and they would never have won as many trophies as they subsequently did under Fergie.

We all know we are on a poor run of results. We all know we’ve had a lot of injuries and that most have been out for a while and only some are beginning to return just in the last few games but whilst also losing some more. But just as we apparently have a magic money tree, we now also have a magic wand to get tired out or injured players fit again.

Some want more rotation of players before they’ve even played a handful of games but guaranteed those same people would and do complain about the quality of players coming in when we do rotate and point to the magic money tree and ask why we aren’t using it more ignoring that the system we are said to use doesn’t allow EH to have final say on incomings and the fact the ‘window’ isn’t open until the 1st January in any event.

It just honestly beggars belief as how the PIF didn’t recognise the experience, knowledge and expertise of posters on this Forum but instead decided to employ people who cost a fortune, and whose only claim to fame is that they have been employed by other football clubs and are held in high regard by their peers. Surely, they must realise that the posters on here don’t need any facts, information or knowledge to be able to work out what needs to be done.

Some of the posts on here make me wonder whether I’m back at school, primary never mind secondary school. People are all entitled to an opinion and are entitled to express it but can we use a little bit of brain power before expressing it, please. And is there really a need to express the same point 3 or 4 times every page on every thread? I think most, maybe, not all, have an ability to remember something they read less than 5 minutes previously.

Anyway, I now feel better for having said all that. I leave it to everyone else to work out if I’m talking about them or not.

P.S. Can somebody give Chippy a summary as I didn’t include any pictures.

You missed out the best bits of this:
Mr Povall said the woman saw Diamond sending messages on his phone and "feared" he was communicating with his housemate Sunderland goalkeeper Anthony Patterson, who had "previously raised the possibility of a threesome".

"She didn't want to get into that situation (presumably as he was known to be not very good with his hands)," Mr Povall said, adding: "Fearful of what might happen, she messaged a friend, asking for help."

Hopefully that will have ruined his confidence before Saturday's game.

Two potential jurors for the trial were excluded "out of an abundance of caution" after declaring that they were Newcastle United season ticket holders.

Is it just me or is the way Wearside! (note the !) written like how 7 year olds try to make letters smaller at the end of words to fit on lines?

No wonder the club have binned them off <laugh><laugh><laugh>

Heard they plan the displays on excel, rather than a ****ing seating plan too
