We are entering the twilight Mark Hughes/Man City days. When the likes of Garry Cook and Mark Hughes were just shown to never have the mindset, ability or balls to get the club further, they acted and made a LOT of replacements.
Our transfers have been awful since we let Howe take the lead. The squad management awful. The lack of nous in games telling. The results say it all. I thought it couldn't get worse than chucking it vs Liverpool, then Milan said "hold my beer" before Trippier said "I'll see your beer and raise you".
I think others have it nailed - this is set up for Mourinho coming in, but to do that you can't have the likes of Staveley calling any shots. There's going to be ongoing questions from the very rich Arabian ownership and Howe's not going to like it. Anyone can win the home games, as has been proven by Villa, Fulham and even Bournemouth and Everton. The away form is disgraceful. £300m+ spent and Matt Ritchie's on the field - all this "impact" **** is tiresome, Schar, Gordon, Isak are out because their soft tissue can't cope with this style. There's a reason we're the only team playing 100mph pressure football, because it's not sustainable. Throw in the ridiculous subs - what the **** are we paying £30m for Hall for if he's worse than Ritchie? - and we're at a crossroads.
Honestly, don't come at me - we are at a crossroads and some of the people fundamental to our rise will be victims, whether you like it or not.
