They sit below us, in 23rd, and are seven points away from us. Their challenge is clear to see, as they are the divisions lowest scorers, having netted only 14 times in 21 games so far. Their top scorers are Anthony Musaba and Michael Smith with 3 goals each. As for us, after 3 wins in a row, Plymouth managed to frustrate us at Loftus Road, despite only having 10 men for most of the game. As was pointed out on the match day thread, it seemed our build up play was back to being far too slow, and easy to defend against. Particularly away from home, we need to start being a bit more direct, and getting the ball to our runners quickly, to create chances. All this playing back and forth in front of the opposition's box just gives them time to get organised, and break down any attacking move we make. It was a frustrating watch last night. Respect to those of you making the trip up to Sheffield on Saturday. Team news and manager comments to go up asap, and as always... ...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
Nice one Dave, I have a soft spot for Wednesday having lived in Sheffield for over 10 years Don't forget Big Leon Clarke, I vividly remember him being pivotal in that 2 - 2 late late comeback away at Derby Let's hope for 3 magic points and an escape from the bottom three
Like Plymouth, another potential six pointer, or are they now too far adrift, as was our case before Marti stepped in and turned everything around with the same squad.
Cheers. I remember watching Clarke play for us, and getting the impression he just found it hard to run.
Nice work, Dave. Would love to see this one but can’t get to Sheffield on Wednesday. Hope the Marti Party continues with some more points in Santa’s bag. Enjoy the game, folks! C’om you R’rrrs!
Upsetting people because of other clubs he is associated with, that have been accurately recorded above.
We tend to have high scoring games with Wednesday. Hope we win but suspect a draw or loss more likely.
