like any gaffer we get it will be a gamble, but i think he's probably the most exciting potential gaffer we've had in years, i still think it will be dodds saturday and hopefully it will be stills first game against coventry the week after, hopefully it gets all done
Can I just say that I haven’t got a clue about any of these people. I reckon that Dodds has now had a taste of the highs of management and will be off if the right job and money comes along. Or if the new guy wants his own team in. Big decision for the owners.
Unless you have access to watch his day to day work on the training ground then that doesn’t really mean much.
That would be my hunch, but that's all it is. Being a main man, whatever the title, comes with multiple other time consuming obligations, some of which are frustrating and can be anathema to " football" people. Allardyce was once quoted as saying that after he had " set things up", it was the managing of all the other things that took the time. In that case, its impossible to know how any individual would react. To some it's water off a ducks back, to others intolerable and its possible then to lose the talent of the coach. But we'll see. Luckily I just pay to go and shout. Others are paid to decide!
On the other side you always have like that competitive edge to you ans you sort of think if that last pass had been right, if that last dummy inside and shot had been the right one... you're always left with that half taste of missed opportunity.
Are we saying the above quote is arrogant... because I just cannot understand the thinking behind that.
Lots of inaccuracies written today about the future of Will Still. Out of respect for the main person concerned, I would not go into details but it would be a question of not denigrating the image of a coach and of questioning the intentions of the source who informed these few media which have picked up the news of the day. Period. #SDR
The problem with Twitter translate is it misses out the finer details “A great deal of inaccuracies written today… out of respect for the person concerned I will not go into details…” He’s looking down his nose at L’Equipe, the gold standard for French journalism Even a Parisian would think “What a snooty little knacker”.
My original reply was to the video of him, which I switched off after his first sentence. Too arrogant for me.
