Either way it’s a failure to recruit from the shortlist. Of course we don’t want people who aren’t right but if we make a shortlist and end up appointing someone existing it’s not delivered the desired outcome. I don’t really care if we win matches like but we can’t spin good news about the process.

Incorrect. Teams bring potential players and coaches to look around before agreeing to anything. Gives them a look at the facilities, gives them a feel for the place, lets our people see them in the environment they would be working in. Makes a load of sense. Could just be a random millionaire with a plane though
