I know it’s not current RIP but Not sure if we have a pure music thread but this guy died some years ago , loved the Faces etc but really liked Ronnie Lane - been listening to ‘ Debris ‘ great little social song - anyone saw him live with Slim Chance ? Point me to a suitable thread for the future please
 
Tim Roth's musician son Cormac dies aged 25 following devastating germ cell cancer diagnosis - months after he posted heart-breaking final Instagram message saying 'you don't always get to choose your destiny'
  • Cormac Roth was diagnosed with stage three germ cell cancer in November 2021- he shared the news in April
  • He lost a lot of weight and 'half of his hearing' but vowed the disease would not take away his love of music
  • The 25-year-old died on October 16 and his family announced the death in a statement on Monday afternoon
 
18th october 2022. robert gordon, us rockabilly revivalist singer, 75. recorded with link wray and chris spedding. i bought three of his albums either side of 1980. he recorded what for me is the definitive version of springsteen's fire.

Well there's a name I think I recall for a cover of "Girl of my best friend". To be honest I had completely forgotten about him. A very old mate of mine had it - his father was in the Merchant Navy and brought a copy over to England. My mate amassed a great collection from over the pond in the late 50's/early '60s courtesy of his old man.
I was a big fan of Billy Fury who also had a touch of Elvis in his singing voice.
