They lost at home to Watford last time out, after previously beating Rotherham 4-1 and drawing 2-2 away at Swansea. Their top scorer is Jaden Philogene with 6 goals, with Liam Delay and Aaron Connolly just behind him with 5 each. Their manager, Liam Rosenior, has now been in charge at Hull for a year and a month. Saturday will be his 50th game in charge, and so far he has won 16, drawn 20 and lost 13. As for us, Martí Cifuentes, he has now lost 1, drawn 2 and won his last 2 as QPR manager. Before beating Preston, away on Friday night, we beat Stoke (20th) and lost to Norwich (13th) after draws against Rotherham (23rd) and Bristol City (14th). Given that Hull will be the highest placed opposition we have faced under Cifuentes, it should be an interesting test to see how much progress we are really making. Huddersfield conceding a last minute equaliser against Swansea on Saturday has kept us only four points from safety...but that is a gap that needs closing asap. Enjoy if you are able to make it to HQ on Saturday, stay warm, and as always... ...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
Edited. Not sure how that slipped my mind. Perhaps, there is a slim chance, I put this up in a small break between work and so was in a rush. Thanks Oslo!
For the first time in a very long time, we are (just) the favourites to win on Saturday. An encouraging sign perhaps.
Hopeful of getting at least a point from this one, we have to go on a good run at home. Hopefully Chair plays like he did 2nd half v Preston for the full 90 plus mins and Willock continues to find the net ! Come on u rrrrrrr's
I've just heard an alarming stat. We haven't won at home in December since 2019, 2-0 v Preston on 7th December with Eze scoring both.
Hulls best player Jaden Philogene is from Hammersmith and got signed by Aston Villa when he was a youth. Another local lad that our scouts let slip through the net.
22 games over a three year period, twenty years ago. It worries me that your remember these totally random players. Impressive nonetheless.
