I hope it does get over-turned otherwise it's going to become a massive problem for the Premier League, which is supposed to be a brand, so it's not going to look good once their clubs start getting dragged though the courts. If I was them, next time their stupid fooking cleaners are in, they need to tell them to sweep it under the carpet and pretend to be the three wise monkeys.

Davey Jones, Mickley Dolenz and Mike Nesmith?

I saw this earlier today, I don't really get where the Premier League are going with this and I can see it causing shhite loads of trouble and legal action all over the place.

Why were Everton made the first example of under this points deduction farce, and why did the PL not act sooner - where is previous examples of action being taken and evidence of such point deductions under xyz scenarios.

Which clubs are next, I've seen Chelsea and Man City as clubs mentioned, again why was action not taken much sooner, why has this been allowed to escalate to the extent of which every football fan knows, and why now, it's just a repetitive circle of questions that's going to turn the game into an absolute joke.

I really hope Everton are not the only ones, because I can't wait for the lawyers of the clubs to start getting involved, if anything it's not the clubs that need to be made an example of but the governing bodies, right through to the government.

After seeing the farce with Juventus, I might as well go smoke some weed and watch reruns of the magic roundabout, it will be just as highly amusing with Zebedee boinging all over the place.

Time for bed...

We did not pay a fine - we paid an out of court settlement on a without prejudice basis to avoid a potentially more costly court case - so the charges made were never admitted nor proven ... if there had been a concrete case against us the Football League would (you would think) have pursued it rather than accept the amount we 'offered' - as it was, the fact they accepted our offer says quite a lot ... you're welcome <cheers>

Leicester. The prince Andrew of football.

Football is nothing without fans. I think that was the slogan. Not true it's it.

the empty stadiums during Covid was like watching training sessions…….id say the fan is the fabric of what we love…….couple of flares and there’s a riot…….weve gone soft on this tiny island

it was a catch 22 for Villa. Let them in and possible issues or leave them for the police

what court case <laugh>
if you really think paying lawyers to represent the club at an EFL ffp hearing would cost more than £3m that almost makes sense however it only makes sense by accepting that the club expected to lose .

I wonder if by not letting them in (if that is what happened) it removes the responsibility from Aston Villa, as surely they can only be responsible for what happens in the ground. The local authorities have the power to stop games going ahead in liason with the police, and Villa would be advised of any policing requirements or stewarding on their part of costs - I assume as the game went ahead, it meant that Villa met all requirements of safety and public order.

Leave them for the police.

Otherwise all you're doing is moving the problem and possibly making things worse for the home fans.

Apparently the Polish club offered zero information or support in the preparation for the match when it came to their fans.

Everton have put in an official appeal against point deduction today.
