Latest on the gossip fron is that Man U are about to bis 15 mil for Rodwell from Everton. Could that mean Henderson staying with us, good news.
Or Welbeck staying with Man U because they dont want Hendo, bad news.

Or should we just wait and see what happens, na, no fun that way.

I'd like to see them both stay with us but i can't see SAF letting Wellbeck go after what he has shown so far this season, i think had it not been for his injury he would be into double figures on the goal front and as a result we'd be secure in 6th position, maybe evn fighting for 5th.

Ifs and buts ~~~~~~~~~ if Campbell had not been injured he could be a superstar now and Wellbeck may have only had a cameo role.

    Today in the NOTW.......

Manchester United want to sign Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric for £35m in the summer as a replacement for Paul Scholes, and Sir Alex Ferguson is also keen on Everton's Jack Rodwell and Sunderland's Jordan Henderson

This story just won't go away.....no smoke without fire?

According to Yahoos round up of the Sunday papers , The People reckons we could be in for Michael Owen in the summer. Please let it be a mis print.

Owen could be a good stand by but not a regular. If we dont get Welbeck we would have Gyan and Campbell so I think we would need two more strikers. No problem with Owen if he is cove but we need a big buy.

Man U still need to 'finance' their big buys, so I think there may be a chance to see Welbeck at SOL.
SAF will play hard to get, to ensure maximum price..

I think a few things will come into play.

If SAF want Henderson then the Welbeck Hendo deal is obvious.
Will Welbeck be a regular first teamer at Man U, he would with us and he knows what happend to Evans.
Who will SAF bring in, he has good striking options now and could well add to them.

If I had to bet on it I would say Henderson will be a Man U player and Welbeck will be ours.

Far too much water to pass under the bridge before the end of the season before any of these can be ruled in or out
Nice to speculate though just as long as we keep reminding ourselves it is speculation.

Straight swap Welbeck-Henderson (see Syd's reply).
Love the picture of Stan Anderson with the Roker Park main stand in the background. Nostalgia still is what it used to be. Thanks for the memory.

I'd be happy, on current form, to see Henderson switched with Welbeck. This has been done to the death, but we have enough players for his position. However, if it weren't too much, I'd say try to buy him from United. Who knows, if he likes it up here he might put in a transfer request.
