I really like the way he talks about his approach - very similar to Postecoglu - he wants to coach teams that he would want to watch. Uses similar phrases - possession, brave, go forward, entertaining. Really hope the players get on board, we need them to.
Marti exudes confidence. So far it's only resulted in two points but I want to get caught up in his confidence until such time as it's too late for Championship survival. The improvement in the quality of the football is really quite dramatic and surely a sign of even better things to come. If we do what QPR so often does ie raise our game against the better teams, we might just be OK.
Hard not to like the cut of his jib so far RTID. I hope he can make a success if it and not only start to turn around this juggernaut that is QPR but also feed down the strategies and football approach through the youth set-up so that we really can find and promote players into the first team. I’m fed up with the manager carousel changes and upheaval that we all have to endure. This appointment feels rather nice and comfortable - just need to add the enjoyment now. Do ‘too good’ a job and I’m sure he will leave but could we please bring back some fun and identity to the club and use it to find the next manager to fit into the style we create again. Can we just settle down to some entertaining football with some goals, excitement and some smiling successes through the seasons ahead. Surely not too much to ask after the years we have had. Along with maybe a nice restaurant, cracking wine, possibly even a celebratory cigar eh Sb?
He seems like a nice intelligent bloke, who may well be an astute manager, but he's having to do it with 1 hand tied behind his back. Until he's able to bring in at least 1 striker who can score goals , he's doomed to failure I'm afraid. There's not a manager on the planet who can make a team a winning one, without a strike force that can put the ball in the onion bag !
Both true unfortunately. He can only do his very best with what he has. Create more genuine opportunities for the forwards to score - if they can’t and we do go down the board have to listen to his requirements for change. Something has to give and after so many manager and style changes it has to come down to the players. MC has made a strong impact in a couple of weeks (so did the snake) so it’s the longer timeline that will tell us what he can get out of this group and how much they buy into his style.
Don't agree, I think Marti can find a couple of wins, in the not too distant future. And we all know what confidence can be born from a few points on the board.

That's true but quality strikers don't need many chances. Haaland misses more a game than most and Darwin misses as many sitters as Dykes. Without spending a 20th of what they cost, we desperately need to find a poacher. And I'm not on about one like Kiwi, fishing for Salmon on some Laird's land !
That's the point, though. Haaland and Nunes are getting large numbers of chances created for them. We didn't create anything on Saturday.
I think that’s because not all the players have got the mantra right yet. Colback and Dozzell in particular did a lot of square ball passing. I think the Cif wants possession with intent. More like Dixon Bonner at Rotherham. It’ll come, they’ll learn. We did miss Chair terribly though and scoring goals does seem like a real challenge, but I remain hopeful.
Yes, I'm hopeful too, but people blaming the strikers for failing to convert non-existent chances seems a little unfair. There is a problem with Dykes in that he doesn't have the instincts of a natural goalscorer, so that when we do get a cross in he often doesn't seem to have made the right run. Hard to judge properly when crosses into the box are so rare, though. Difficult to see Armstrong's bull in a china shop approach featuring much at all under Cifuentes. Bring back Tony Thorpe!
Which sort of implies the entire squad is turd, ideally the manager would be able to start making wholesale changes but with no money available he can't !
