Sunak moving towards liberal and Remain. I'm sure the Tory Right will have plenty to say, after losing Suella.

Wednesday's Supreme Court judgement on Rwanda will be important to the government (as it will to governments across Europe that are anxious to do something similar). The worst case for Sunak in my view, is that the government loses, and Sunak stays slothful and mealy-mouthed about the ECHR

I suppose a Cabinet with David Cameron in it and Suella Braverman out of it is an improvement. Cameron is a positive appointment in that he's not a far right nut job like many of the others currently in government. An unexpected lurch towards the centre by Sunak.

Theoretically, you can be made a minister without being in either the Commons or Lords.

Who knew

You can be a member of government without being elected. Cameron was made a Lord to get him into the Lords..Doesn't sound hugely democratic, ..or am I being a bit fussy.

( ps Cameron is so much better than Braverman ( any one would be tbh, and I agree with Col...he will be a good Foreign Secretary, in these horrid times)

Not a fan of Cameron, following his lack of backbone over Brexit, but I actually think he'll be a decent foreign secretary.

Not sure why you would think that. If they were going to go for an ex-MP, Rory Stewart would have been a better choice in my opinion.

The Supreme Court judgment tomorrow is critical to Sunak imo. If it goes against the government, and Sunak and Cleverly don't indicate we'll leave the ECHR, there'll be all out war within the Tory Party
