Following a few incidents now involving clashes with our best players and the fans we're waking up to the sports pages and radio stations telling the world how overbearing, ungrateful and delusional the Newcastle fanbase can be. Despite the new owners best efforts along with plenty others we have failed to keep them grounded enough to have a little patience. Newcastle are back l Back with the achilles heel which is sadly it's own fanbase and a media that loves to play them. Why can't they understand it's a ten year plan ? Why have they forgotten where we've been the last 20 years so quickly? Your thoughts please.
I have to say some of our fans are brilliant and I don't want people to think I'm having a go at the entire fanbase, but there's larhe numbers of arseholes at every ground for every fanbase so why not sound them out.
"When the full-time whistle was blown, Trippier was seen walking over to a section of the travelling supporters and appeared to be arguing quite forcefully with one in particular. A steward intervened and pushed Trippier away before Joelinton ran over to drag the defender back to the centre circle, where the rest of the team were congregating. Trippier appeared to mouth to manager Eddie Howe that the supporter had thrown a few unpleasantries his way but he played down the incident afterwards and asked fans to get behind the team during a difficult period." https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/oth...S&cvid=2923ed6145544665bbc1d6817d5df597&ei=12
This isn't the 1st time we've seen it . Guimareas being targeted on twitter, lascelles being attacked in toon and now this. The initial buzz of the takeover has died for these people. This has been going on years and while it may be a minority they need to have their season tickets removed and given to people who will applaud at the end no matter what.
The Bruno and Lascelles attacks were different, in my opinion, to the one yesterday. Yesterday’s, albeit wrong, was out of frustration. The other attacks were targeted
It's depressing mate they win the football fan lottery and still complain every week. We'll obviously lose games.. finishing 4th has set then bar above the ability of the group.
I agree and I go after all fanbases regardless of my affinity towards Newcastle. I actually dislike most of society and the fact the Newcastle fans are addicted to the same fruitless drug as me doesn't blind me to them being ****s.
A huge part of the issue is people simply not understanding, or pretending they understand FFP when they don't. Was comments yesterday and it may have been Roly (apologies if it wasn't) along the lines of "£300m spent and that's what we're lining up with". £300m over 4 transfer windows isn't that big a spend when you understand where we have come from. The issue is and was, we were up to our limit last Jan, and possibly exceeded it with the purchase of Gordon. Yes there is a bigger shirt sponsor for this season, and Champions League money at the end of this season, and Addidas next year but we've had to go with what we could this year. We're still miles behind. Only way around this would be for the club to just say "**** it, lets smash the granny out it and take a points deduction and fine", for a season which would then see us booted out of Europe. With 12 players injured/suspended we could have spent £1billion but half the squad would have been out anyways. We've sent teams out in the League Cup this year that looked ropey as **** on paper, so he has rotated where he thought he could. Also this year, no world cup so no break coming up compared to last year. This could be a long run into the Jan window and I'm not convinced we have the funds there to do much more.
Roly is hilarious to me I hate it when he tries to be positive. I'm actually regretting pushing everyone on this This Morning like I say many fans are brilliant. Enjoying the season personally I think it's going well.
I'm not digging Roly out here, and I'm not saying he doesn't understand FFP. The point I'm trying to make is some don't. Some seem to think we should have signed 25 players by now and can't understand why we haven't. I said all along I was happy to qualify for the Champs league for the money side, but would have been happy to **** it off and finish last rather than have more games in the Europa. Still feel that way. The twats in the PL knew exactly what they were doing with that related party rule for sponsorship and they think they know what they're doing with this loan rule. In reality what they are doing is making it much harder to sell their own clubs in the future.
This never ever happens to other clubs ever. We are unique and special. Newcastle fans are **** and we should wind down the club. One fan had an argument with a player. Newcastle have one of the highest average attendance rates in the Championship ever. Sunderland for an example of the opposite.
