I think like that with things across the board. When someone dies and you get told a funeral is around £4,000 now, where do these people you are talking about find that sort of money? I know this is not a great question but what is the cheapest way to get cremated now, me and my missus don’t really want to give anyone much money for getting rid of us. We feel the person who’s left need that money more than some stinking rich funeral director. Have you or anyone else got any ideas? Maybe should be a new thread.

I once had the same - comparison site quote from same insurer ( same policy but premium version !) was less. I rang company and said just match the price and renew existing. They said , let this lapse and take out a new one. I said change quote and it’ll save you the admin and the comparison sites ‘ commission. Still they weren’t bothered about doing it the simple way
That’ll be some divvy in a sales team paid more for new sales. Unfortunately companies breed that culture and it leads to **** service and the company literally losing money. A renewal should be higher reward than a new sale.
