I wouldn't have been surprised if Romero went on to gouge out somebody's eyes had he stayed on the pitch for another half hour.
your mate garth is on one today. Saying how refs opinion should be final blah blah blah. Arsenal obv thought was wrong but refs decision should be final no matter what. Then says - but I thought it was a shocking decision
Only saw the headline saying the refs got all the decisions correct. Had a picture of Udogie's two fitted lunge next to it
Wasn’t really a leg breaker. Was a tackle that fully took the ball and I’m not even sure if he touched sterling and if he did was the tinest possible tough. Not a great tackle going in with both feet but wasn’t endangering sterling as didn’t touch him. Sterling should have been booked for diving tbh
But it wasnt 2 footed. 1 foot won the ball, 1 foot was no where near sterling. Difference between 2 feet connecting with the player and 1 getting the ball and 1 nothing.
It was as blatant two footed lunge you'll see. They've been outlawed for over 20yrs. It was a red all day, every day.
A two footed twckle isn’t an auto red card btw. It’s not more a red card than a tackle with 1 leg. it’s only a red card if it meets the below. Given he didn’t touch sterling I’d say that he wasn’t endangering safety of the player A tackle or challenge that endangers the safety of an opponent or uses excessive force or brutality must be sanctioned as serious foul play. Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one or both legs, with excessive force or endangers the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play.
For once, FA has shown common sense. https://www.liverpool.com/liverpool...rpool-diaz-celebration-fa-punishment-28055583
If it's two footed then then you are out of control; aka reckless and a red card. Tbh mate, I'm not even sure why you're arguing it. It was blatant
Don’t agree. Can easily be in control while tackling with both feet. As shown by fact that he won the ball and didn’t touch sterling. 20 years ago that’s a clean tackle and not even a foul. Games gone soft
It was a blatant red card twenty years ago, already said that You'd get sent off on a Sunday league pitch for doing it twenty years ago
Agree to disagree. Feel being sent off for winning the ball and not touching the player would be a bit of a joke but each to their own
