Good Luck <ok>

@NassauBoard any news on Alaphilippe‘s schooling ahead of chase debut?

Not one that I’ve seen school, however they posted a video the other day of him and he looked fluent.

I don’t like backing the horses first time out from Fergals, however the price looks tempting given how good his form is.

Yes certainly a nice price at the moment.

In other news I noticed My Drogo has an entry in the Old Roan Chase on Sunday - Skelton is looking at that, then the Hennessey (I refuse to call it by any other name) followed by the King George. It will be great to see him back <ok>

Great to see some good horses out already. Also the first Pertemps Qualifier on Saturday at Cheltenham.

Carlisle 15.20 Touch and go what ends up fav here, and there are a few with chances, but my preference is for Grain D'oudairies. After a promising hurdling debut over 2 miles he disappointed here over 3f further but tomorrow is 2f shorter. His sire also sired A Plus Tard, Clan Des Obeaux, Fakir D'oudairies, Dolos and Garde La Victoire and the dam sire is the high class Cadoudal who sired Long Run and Big Bucks. So there is a chance he could be potentially better than this level. Readily available at 3/1 which isn't too bad

Just a quick glance at the cards and I’m interested in a double, not going to get rich but hopefully will be rewarded. It’s my birthday today so will celebrate regardless.

3.55 Car GIOVINCO 10/11. Hopefully may get a small drift, but this fella could have a very good season.
3.30 Lud OUTLAW PETER 6/5. Nicholls only runner on the card.

16/5 the double.

Good luck Resurgam with Kits Cody.

Carlisle
14,45 Captain Quint 12/1 e/w four places, 10/1 sky five places
Form after break: 11
16,30 Fenland Tiger 7/2
17,05 Clovis Boy 12/1 e/w five places, 11/1 sky six places

Oddy, it’s hard to believe that it’s 60 years since Arkle slithered on landing before finishing third behind Mill House and Happy Spring in the 1963 Hennessy Gold Cup.
Makes me feel bloody old!<yikes>

Done three at Carlisle for a bit of interest as the day runs on...

2:45 - Mulberry Hill
3:20 - Holly
5:05 - Covis Boy

Good luck to all who are having a play today...<ok> <cheers>

Very unlucky, in the process of running a good race. A day to forget for young Daire Davis, he could have caused a lot more damage to horse and jockeys.

Another horse I have a share in is running at Ludlow 4:05. Kit's Cody with Emma Lavelle. Tom Bellamy booked to ride. Will have a couple of quid e/w on it.

Beaten a neck by a 28/1 shot

Another poor day at the office although GIOVINCO will win a few races this season.

I did wonder if the Skelton's would get My Drogo back given how the Lieutenant didn't get Santini back when he went to the same location to recuperate!!! Agree though that it will be great to see My Drogo's return.

You can tell we are well into the season of mists, mellow fruitfulness and the re-emergence of Nicky when the debate turns to Pertemps Qualifiers. Sporting Life even gave a tip for the Final the other day!!! Filey Bay, by the way. That's a nice rhyme but will tomorrow's race contain the winner of the entire Series??? That's a question to ponder, people...
