My mistake, I'd missed a win off his total record with us...

Played 42
Won 12
Drawn 19
Lost 11
Total points 55
Points per game 1.31

1.31 X 46 = 60 points over a season which would have get us 14th on last season's table as a reference....one place above where we actually finished instead of 1 place below on my previous ( admittedly wrong ) calcs.

He got 10th most points in his 28 games last year than anyone else.

Turned a side who were habitually conceding 2-3 per game into the best defensive record outside the promoted clubs in that period also.

He's currently joint 10th on points and goal difference and less than a win off the playoffs.

Having had a tougher start than most.

What the **** do you think we are all of a sudden.?

He got the 10th most points in the division under his games in charge.

We've played 12 games this season, are joint

I've said all along he's made us a difficult team to beat and has improved I'd defensively. He's done a job since he came to us, I just don't think he'll take us from where we are now to promotion contenders...

We are are mid table team, that's "who the ****" I think we are.... Have you been on the source?

That one was in the works far longer though. No one was in attendance in the weeks before Shota was sacked for example.

I agree it was, but just because he didn't do it with shota ( who we have to remember was a friend ) doesn't mean he wouldn't do it, especially when the evidence points to him doing it with Grant

Anyway I'm not even sure potter was at the game and I'm even less sure that anything is happening with him and us.

Looking at our fixtures, we've had one of if not the hardest start to the season, which by nature means our next 10 are all very winnable. Hardest games are WBA, Watford and Boro. Rotherham, PNE, Huddersfield, and Cardiff all at home should be bankers, with Swansea and QPR away also strong candidates for wins. 4-5 wins needs to be the bare minimum out of the next 10.

I suppose what I'm distinguishing between the two is that from the moment he first approached the club to takeover to the point he sacked McCann, he had plenty of time to think about and prepare for who he wanted to be manager. In-season, as with Shota and Rosenior, is going to be much more spur of the moment off the back of poor results. As you say, not even sure Potter was there and could be similar to the Wilder attendance a few seasons ago.

Acun had shota lined up and everything agreed with him before he gave grant the bullet, I'm sure he was at a couple of the games as well, but not certain on that part. Business is business

He was, but I'm fairly sure Grant was told he was going to be replaced almost immediately. He said something to that effect when he left.

Told or knew it was coming, very similar but also not the same. Anyway it's probably a completely pointless topic as I'm almost certain sod all's happening to LR just yet and even more certain potter wouldn't be coming to us if LR went

He had a payoff agreed with grunt via the takeover agreement before he had an agreement with Shota.

He didn't, but it's to late and I'm to tired to argue if I'm honest. So I'm bowing out

There was never a chance that someone who was capitalising on engendering a 'team vs everyone else so **** em' mentality would be Acun's head coach.

The one who came off worst financiallynand reputationally out of it all was Shota though.

I was watching McCann career with interest though given that he was hamstrung by Ehab.

Now I've just come to think he was lucky we had no fans in the ground as we wouldn't have won league 1 and he's on his last knockings as a coach.

The initial heads of terms covered retention.

McCann was never in the owners thoughts and he won't ever be again, either.

The brief is to 'challenge' top 6. Top 10 minimum.

That's where we are.

Potter being linked to United so there goes that link. <laugh>

Why on earth would he go there when he could have a long term brief here?

'Tenuous' local connections must mean something in football nowadays, surely ...!!

Just sacked from Chelsea - 5 months out of work after being paid off on a 50m 5 year deal.

He must be feeling the pinch by now, so why not?

Obviously if Acun can't work his magic then we might as well have Ehab back!

Maybe we should get Prof. Seri's Mrs to have a word with Graham's on insta?

Free holiday to Turkey

Lifetimes supply of hobnobs..

Free family travel with Simon Gray...

That should sort it.

If it doesn't then we're clearly not
'been' ambitious enough.

Dont you know that already?

Preston is the next home game and they’re no pushovers. Whiteman is back from injury and playing as well.
