That's the championship - but that team who hits form could just as easily be us.

What's that got to do with providing a tighter defence?

The fact you think this is the first time I've been sarcastic explains a lot.

His championship record with us is:
Pts, Games, season, avg pts, pts over 46g, posn based on last season
    38 28 2022 1.36 62 13th
    17 12 2023 1.42 65 5th
    and total
    55 40 1.38 63 11th
Since he took over with us in dire straits, he can be forgiven last season's lower avg. This season it's a decent average, don't know where you get your figures from.

That's points average but it's also true that if the table was level zero when he came in last season we'd have been 10th.

This is the issue I have with some posters.

They'll be desperate to extrapolate the worst possible scenario,

When gleefully calling the manager a Gobshite and calling for his head cos we have an 'England u21 international' who shouldn't be asked to defend etc...

Completely missing the point that on his side he was up against an actual England international who frankly dictated our left side all game.

And who was a big contributor to the difference all told on the day

Most championship clubs don't have Kyle Walker-Peters.

The reaction to that Southampton result just seems to be a load of pre determined bias released at the first possible excuse.

Basically cos he's made some decisions that have put a few noses out of joint

There's no other rational explanation for it.

If we got Potter in the same complaints would be made. His gamestyle is very similar and he also had a lot of issues getting Brighton scoring goals.

    And he also had time.

What was his experience before the Brighton job?

What was Kierna McKenna's before Ipswich?

One thing they were was both supported in post for a good couple of years before **** really started happening.

They got money off Palarse for Malcolm.

    That's genius in itself.

I'm sure Potter and Rosenior crossed paths at Brighton briefly. Could be some sort of consultancy thing to provide advice to a young head coach? Potter wasn't much older than Rosenior when he got the gig at Swansea and was younger when he took Ostersunds into Europe.

It would be pretty disrespectful of the owners to invite a prospective new manager in while the current one is in place and I don't think Acun/Tan are those kinds of people.

MO is right, clubs like Luton, Coventry and Ipswich have had managers in place for a few seasons. Basket case clubs that spend wildly and go for what they think are amazing appointments are ones like Derby and look where that got them. They changed managers like the seasons and it just landed them in the ****. They're now 11th in League One under Paul Warne, somebody who guided Rotherham up twice from that division.

I thought so too so double checked, but Potter was appointed about a month before Rosenior went to Derby so not sure he had too much influence on him. They are very similar though (which makes sense, Brighton are good at finding managers that align to what they're after in a similar way to a club like Swansea).

If the owners listened to the fans we'd be a L1 version of Sjoke.

If Rosie goes the developmental recruitment policy won't change, nor will a posession first playing style.

    Under this ownership.

Ah fair one, yeah you're right I just looked. I always forget he went straight into coaching from there.

If they listened to the fans we'd have gone pop a long time ago and be AFC Kingston Upon Hull and playing at Hayworth Park, owned by Jamie Waltham. The **** him.

Both Southampton and, we play a style that aligns with his.

If there's a championship match he'd be interested in last weekend, then ours would be the obvious one.

Doubt there's more in it than that.

So where, was Rosie when the 'experienced L1 promotion winner' came in and replaced him?

Acun had shota lined up and everything agreed with him before he gave grant the bullet, I'm sure he was at a couple of the games as well, but not certain on that part. Business is business

That one was in the works far longer though. No one was in attendance in the weeks before Shota was sacked for example.
