BBC606 v NOT606 I often wondered about the moderation at the BBC, totally innocent posts about opinions of the match or players being removed. I always thought it was Mugs complaining just to be Trolls. I think I may have been wrong, as more times than enough no mention of the Skunks was in the thread, Thinking back it was when certain posters were losing an argument about their PET player or manager. Usually out numbered they clearly were hitting the report button, to kill the thread. Same as the ****ers on here who want to silence anyone that disagrees with them. As they obviously have more knowledge than us mere mortal supporters, (Some of them actually claiming they do!) it is fine for them to hurl abuse or deride fellow Mackems, as they can't stop them posting. So they try and beat them down. What's the betting any thread questioning Bruce on the BBC wouldn't have lasted to a second page? Or there would be a dozen threads saying how we have never had it so good! Anyone complaining wasn't beng realistic and a bad supporter, for wanting SAFC to improve year in year out. How strange these same ones hurling all the abuse and derision, think it is fine for them to complain about players they don't like! But thats them being constructive and not negative, and of course it doesn't make them BAD supporters and told to **** off and glory hunt elsewhere. (Unlike the fans they disagree with!) Standing in the cold and wet watching **** football in the old 3rd division I had more belief than I do presently. That is down to our tactically inept manager. Some on here seem to have taken such a hardline, holier than thou stance backing Bruce, they totally blind themselves (or use rose tinted spectacles) to the fact football under Bruce has been **** for all these years. (A few games and lucky results excepted.) And it is only getting worse. They made out anyone questioning Bruce or his tactics were part of some Brigade and not proper supporters, where as they themselves were above reproach. But then the so called BIB's seem happy to put up with any old ****e and think fellow supporters being ambitious are being unrealistic. IT is nice that some of the BIB's can stand their ground without making snide comments though. Respect to them. The rest of the abusers can expect it back in triplicate on here from me from now on, bollocks to detente. Your knowledge of football is no better than mine (and in many cases less ) you want to hurl abuse at fellow Mackem's I for one am going to start returning it. At least on NOT606 the cowardly ****ers can't hide behind that anonymous report button. It must break their ****ing hearts! Being joint 17th breaks mine!
This forum is x1000000 better than Not 606. Yes, there are fall-outs, and the moderators get a bit of stick, but I have never came across a forum which didn't have something like that going on at some point.

That's the point of my post mate, BIB BOB or like me a Sunderland supporter with an opinion, all of us want what's best for SAFC. There were times in the past when I was younger I put the club before my family. Certain posters have decided they are going to deride anyones comments that don't coincide with their beliefs. The worst ****ing thing they can say to me or any other true Sunderland fan after 50 years of loyal support is to go and glory hunt elsewhere, and we should just accept our lot.
You'll always get posters you won't agree with on forums, it's life And the reason that this forum is so much better than BBC606 is because of the moderators I believe, friendlier and cooler than the beeb mods, and excellent at keeping you all in check And less of the negativity eh lads! Chin up, your season will improve no doubt!
The BBC moderators never had to explain why a thread or post was removed. (I'm still certain one was a Mag mind.) The thing is cowardly people could get totally innocuous posts or threads deleted just by complaining. Our season will improve? Have you heard something about Bruce leaving?
I know we have had our run ins, but everyone is entitled to their opinion, I dont think I have ever told another Sunderland fan to go and support someone else, or they are not proper supporters, but I will try to stick up for my opinion over others which are different, it may get a bit heated at times, but its all fair game, if you cant take the heat, then get out of the Kitchen as the saying goes, I have never once reported a post on here or Not 606 for anything, never mind having a differing opinion from me, if everyone thought the same, all the time, what a bloody boring world it would be. Its what a forum is all about, debating, and without different opinions, we couldnt debate, so may as well close this place and every forum on the net. I have been called a few names on here myself because of my stance, its all water off a ducks back to me, I have my stance, I will stick to it till I believe its time to change it, not someone else on a forum telling me I am a ****ing idiot for my stance.

Still a BIB, that said his tactics are starting to worry even me. Playing Elmo? Noble on for ten seconds? Held at home by a very poor Fulham? I've always thought if a manager loses his fans he's ****ed. That point is looming larger tonight.

Can anyone give me two valid reasons why we should stick with Bruce any longer?? Large majority of his recent signings are poor,his negative tactics are poor,he couldn't motivate a dick in a brothel!!!Get rid of him now.By the way,I'm not sitting on the fence!!

You could be right mate. I only hope cause it would be for the benefit of SAFC. Even I can see things need to change. And soon.
Forget the fans point of view for a minute and look at it from Shorts POV. 2 and a bit years, 6 transfer windows, 7 million profit in transfers (or not much of a loss if that is bullshit), wage bill down, fans dont bring in that much cash considering TV deals etc, doesnt seem to say Boo to a goose (Bent/Gyan debacles), pretty much a yes man (for us looking in from the outside anyway), Better squad on paper than the one that we had when Short took over (with spending very little if anything), top 10 finish last year. Short must be loving it (maybe not the league position, but the rest of it), its just the fans that are not so much atm.
