How the hell have we improved 10 fold, we’ve won one game at home against a team with still only 3 points, Liam has won 12 games out of 42 so far, he’s been here a year in a couple of weeks, being hard to beat,ok but 19 draws is not an improvement, it’s a mentality he has of do not lose, rather than go out and win.

It objectively is an improvement because we were losing most games before his arrival.

I can certainly agree that we should expect further improvement. But it's objectively false to say that we haven't improved because we've had a lot of draws.

I have no doubt we should continue to stick with and back Rosenior to get things right long term, but the next month is pretty critical for him and the club. Brum, Preston, WBA, Huddersfield, Swansea and Rotherham. We really need 3-4 wins out of that.

I cant see that happening

Coyle did get booked
I know it says he didnt on the BBC website but the ref clearly showed him a yellow card for the kick on the opponents leg

When was this? I've looked on about 5 different sites and was at the game. None of which have Coyle with a yellow

The "football" is boring me to death....
Not boring me to death but frustrating the hell out of me.
If week after week when attacking players aren't taking chances, aren't making better decisions, aren't putting the ball into right areas, aren't making the right runs, aren't getting into the right positions, etc (all the things being mentioned on here), then when does it shift from the players fault to the shortcomings of the coach, his drills, his coaching?
How long did it take Rosenior (or Daws) to sort us defensively? No time at all.
Rhetorical question.

I said the other day we should be treating this season first and foremost as a development season and that top 6 would be a bonus we should obviously be hopeful of but not expecting, and was told that was ridiculous. Excellent post.

It'll be what Rosey wants, but I doubt Acun would see missing out by a little bit a massive disaster, certainly not enough to see LR sacked.

The issue I then see is what we do with players like Delap and Morton - whether we're able to get them on loan again, bring them in permanently, or get stuck having to start again with other options next season.

The problem with the home games is
We kepe playing really well
But we never score and keep conceding the first goal

I actually think our full backs are our weakest positions this season weirdly

Christie is just nowhere near what he was last year

Maybe he doesnt get enough support too, but he just seems to lose every 1v1, i know southampton had special players targetting these areas toda
But noticed it quite a lot

Same with vinagre today

When did we last lose a championship game at home again?

I think it was 88th minute. North west corner.
A lot of sites go by what BBC says.
The referee didnt book him straight away but Coyle went over to the player to apologise and the referee booked him then.

If it was in the 88th minute and I missed it then fair play. My original point stands though. Christie on a booking against their wingers was a red waiting to happen

If you look at our defence you wiill see Coyle, Jones, Greaves and McLoughlin blocking all over the place
but so often Vinagre and Christie go missiing

It depends on how Oscar and Celi have developed while out on loan.

I'm not sure Morton will be anywhere near the first team of Liverpool at the end of this season, we might be able to get him back. Delap is much further forward in his development.

Our biggest error, as is well known, is not replacing Oscar like for like. Delap doesn't seem to be a goal scoring machine and Connolly seems to be back on the bench again. I'd have him on the pitch ahead of Twine. Although Twine was improved today, I didn't realise he was playing until he touched the ball about 25 minutes into the game.

Connolly in for Twine against Brum, so we have a bit more ****housery on the pitch. Tufan for Lokilo if he hasn't shaken off the dead leg (I get them all the time banging them off tables, they go away after 20 mins, when did a dead leg become a five day injury?!).
