I see Neil Lennon has taken what I think is a belated steps to move training from Lennoxtown. Yesterday they trained at Barrowfield in an attempt to curtail the number of injuries. Nearly every member of the first team squad has been injured at some stage or other this season so far. Some like Izzy and Brown have been long term and as I posted months ago Celtic will struggle to win without him. Hopefully back on the old stamping ground of Barrowfield will curtail the injuries and Neil will soon have a full squad to pick from.
Cossy some posters on here are plain stupid. You must be the stupidest of the lot. I would not waste my time trying to inform you. I pity your children.
It's a bit strange that you pick Izzy as an example when he was injured in a freak accident on the pitch. Brown was also injured on the pitch. I'm always a bit suspicious when teams have a raft of injuries. More often than not it's down to a lack of desire to play on for some, ie. taking the easy option.
Please provide me with the facts and figures of injuries that have happened at both lennoxtown and Barrowfield that have led you to your conclusion that Barrowfield is the place to train.
It has been made clear to you by the board, the management and the overwhelming majority of fans that we want our great club to train at Barrowfield. You have chosen not to follow that plea.
I regret to inform you that most of us know who is the "stupidest" and it's not Cossy, not even close.
Thats okay then I thought for a minute Hoops was a numpty with such a self-obsessed point of view that he didn't care what damage he did to the club.
Quite. It could cause great damage to the club if we should happen to lose any more players due to injury.
Its amazing you find these sort of things, whats the bets you've signed it? Personally i don't care what the name of our training ground is because its truly world class
Cossy, stupid, Why ask me for the facts and figures of injuries at Lennoxtown and Barrowfield. Mr Neil Lennon stated a couple of weeks ago that He was not happy with the amount of injuries that his first team squad had picked up. To the best of my knowledge an "expert" was called into check the surface at Lennoxtown. After another injury this time to Rogne the decision has been taken to move the training to Barrowfield. I never mentioned Barrowfield but I posted in August/ September that I thought there was something wrong with the surface at Lennoxtown as they seemed to be picking up too many injuries. Leg joints and leg muscles. I also pointed out that "these types of surfaces" often cause injuries. I gave an example of the GAA grounds in Dublin when a complete new pitch was laid. Just before Lennon mentioned it again and you know yourself Cossy, idiots tried to laugh and sneer at me and tried to detract from my post. Lennon for now seems to thing the surface at Barrowfield is drier and less dangerous for injury. So, Cossy they laughed at me, I knew nothing and I suppose the Celtic Management knows about the same. I thought it was very good of Stereo Typist to give his medical opinion without any medical examination. Cameron will give him a job getting people off sickness benefit. Of course Stereo, you are right Izzy's injury came abut by a freak injury during a match, I am not sure if any one incident wrecked Brown's ankle. Houston had it kicked for a whole match, a couple of matches later he played 60 mins against them bears. Maybe ankle had not mended up as much whist training a little prior to Huns match. But really they are both long term and I was wrong to use them but I find it hard to believe that so many others do not want to play. I think Lawwell and the board would be asking hard questions.
"I thought it was very good of Stereo Typist to give his medical opinion without any medical examination." I did this?
Hoops, stupider, people pick up inuries by not warming up properly, training/ playing on injuries that haven't properly healed, operations not quite getting the results wanted, get a niggle one week which flares up later etc. It'd be a brave/ stupid move to turn your back on a top training facility because of a surface that can be relaid, especially when you bear in mind that one of those constantly injured players was Shaun Maloney!
