Genuinely not trying to be provocative but I thought Sunak was embarrassingly poor today. He’s sooooo out of his depth.
He’s out of his depth cutting a ribbon opening a community centre. I can’t see him being much use in stopping a world war. Will have his feet up in California with his wife’s ill-gotten billions soon anyway.
Sunak the schoolboy said - We will stand with you in solidarity, we will stand with your people. And we also want you to win Like it's a game Rishi?? The winner takes it all. An abba musical? There are no winners here. Only grieving families, massacred siblings, destroyed communities, abhorrent acts of violence Go back to san Francisco Rish! and leave the reality to the grown ups Who advises these people?
There is no 'answer' There is only respect decency and kindness Sadly none of the participants in this horrific gameshow display any boundaries And we move on Invasion Incursion Massacre Regret Repentance Go Joe! Enlighten us
The US has vetoed a UN resolution calling for a ceasefire. Yet another example of ridiculous US foreign policy. Apparently Russia (Yes Russia) will bring forward another resolution calling for a ceasefire.
Presumably because Israel wants to hunt down Hammas militants and leaders. So far most of Hammas (though sadly not a large number of Palestinian citizens) remains unscathed. Israel want to root out the cancer. That's understandable imo. How effective they are likely to be, and what exit strategy they have, has not been shared with the international community as a whole.
Agreed I don’t think anyone would deny Israel the right to defend itself or finally rid Gaza of Hamas. After all Hamas started this latest round of violence. They need to be eradicated. However, the key point here is how this is done and what we’re seeing now is not the answer. There has to be a better way. Relentlessly butchering innocent people is not the answer and is not acceptable.
Wouldn’t it a wonderful conclusion to this if the World finally realised its responsibility here to both sides and found a workable solution to safeguard and enshrine both sides needs…. wishful thinking I know……
I don’t think there is one without uprooting the entire Palestinian population and even then it’ll inevitably kick off again in a few years. Would be a tad controversial
mate, any solution will involve giving and taking by BOTH sides. Surely both sides crave peace. Aspirational I know but experts often say, the perfect solution is when neither side is entirely happy.
Would be lovely...but somewhat stymied by USA giving huge amount of money for munitions...and Sunak saying " we hope you win"...its not a f****** football match. How about keeping our nose out of it for awhile
It’s a nice aspiration but while there’s one square yard of land named Israel there’ll be problems with many surrounding countries. The big oil countries less so and the UAE now have a particularly good relationship but there’s always going to be an element in Egypt, Iran and Lebanon particularly who want them wiped off the map.
