    Only ever watched the 1st series and from what I've heard that should be enough. Will wait to see what the reviews are like for the new one before deciding.

    Season 3 it's also very good and it links back to 1. Season 4 definitely has links as well from the trailer. We'll just pretend 2 didn't happen.

    Watched season 1 of True Detective, loved it.
    Watched season 2, hated it. The performances were good, particularly from Colin Farrell, but the story was all over the ****ing place.
    Havent watched 3 but may give it a shot

    Yeah ... was the missus idea ... and we both enjoyed it so much we will watch the sequels ... in fairness, I can't say I've ever not enjoyed a Denzel Washington film ...
