Well. Every year, at the international break, the Manchester Half Marathon is on. Me and my Mrs always go for the weekend and, as my son’s team is Man Utd (I know, he still has a season card for SAFC) we always get him a shirt from the Utd club shop. Been 5 years in a row (barring COVID year).

First year we went, it was £55 with a name on. I thought that was extortionate. But yesterday it cost £108 for a shirt with a name on. And this was the “cheap” option.

not that I can’t afford it. I make decent money so I can and I got him one. But ****ing hell thatnis utterly crazy!!

Over 100 quid is ridiculous. No wonder dhgate and other sites make a lot of money. The bairn is playing a fair bit of cricket now and the England stuff made my Castore isn't cheap either.

****ing hell. I thought over £100 was the ones that were made of the same stuff as the match worn shirts!

Always makes me smile when ya mention ya lad and Man Utd being his team! As it always sounds to me like he is a lads fan with a soft spot for Man Utd, not the other way around. This is because he has a season ticket for the lads and will no doubt see a lot more minutes of the lads than Utd.

I know the reason he is Man Utd is that is what he says and its his coice so it obviously is that way around but hope ya get what I mean without it sounding like I'm starting trouble!

I refuse to pay those sort of sums for a shirt that is outdated 6 months later. Again, it's not a financial issue, it's a moral one.
Get them from other, foreign sources for £15 a go.

With names on the “same as the players” shirts were about £150 if not more!

I think he’s a lads fan too, but claims to be Utd!! Wembley was the thing that swayed him back to SAFC. It helps that Utd are utter ****e at the minute I think!!
I’ve always had a soft spot fir them, my best mate is Utd daft, his parents were season ticket holders before his Mam passed away. Think his Dad still has his ticket, but we used to go to Old Trafford 3 or 4 times a season. It’s obviously rubbed off on my boy! (Boy?? He’s a ****ing man 19 years old!!)
