    I would have like to have seen Arsenal back Ozil over those comments, but I get why as a football club they try to stay out of politics (commerce aside)

    Football is tribal enough, and if you have football clubs supporting or condemning various political acts, it would turn the whole game into a war zone

    That said, the football community came out in support of Ukraine, so I suppose those lines have already been crossed.

    It is an illusion. Especially when lots of clubs receive their funding from shady groups who commit human rights violations

    i really don't think so as it would be bankrupt in weeks or even days <laugh>

    and having just checked it is a quid to get in and then your drink is what they charge you .

    no way any pub can sell actual real beer for a £1 and not go to the wall as that probably doesn't even cover the duty .
    sure you didn't just get ****faced and so just have a blurry memory of something being £1 <laugh>
