14 off the final over gets England to 282/9 at the close......

Maybe feels a tad shy of where they ought to have been but still not an easy target to chase.... pitch is wearing a bit so bowlers will be aware of that.....

Will be an interesting few hours.....

Old age, apathy, too much time on your hands with retirement......
Speak for yourself, I’m loving it, no apathy, cynicism or whining about life from me , and loads of stuff to do. Just a bit too much cricket in multiple formats recently. Having said that I’d love to be out there watching this live…..

We're getting blown away. Ravindra looks like some batsman, beautiful to watch, he's stroke play is off the scale. England will rue throwing away so many wickets away on such a good pitch. The World Cup is not for us this time.

What’s the format for this competition? Looks like a league rather than a cup…..
Same as last time, everyone plays everyone else with the top 4 qualifying for the Semi's. All is not lost even if we lose this , but the net run rate is gonna be grim. Probably have to win 7 of our remaining 8 games to qualify. We've been battered here

Absolutely slaughtered.
Not yet a disaster, but we're under pressure for the remaining round robin games.
New Zealand are real contenders, with players to return.

England below par in every department, but did have the worst of the conditions. Dew could be a big factor in this Workd Cup, hopefully I won't be a Win the toss, Win the game tournament or it will get very boring. We badly need Stokes to get fit quickly but didn't look good at the end seeing him hobble across the grass to congratulate the Kiwi's.

Don’t know about worse of the conditions, batting was abysmal & threw wickets away cheaply

That's true, always gonna be harder to bowl when there's dew about. Root saying the ball didn't come onto the bat easily and how hot it was earlier. The dismissals were shocking though
